Our values are:
Your Aims - Dunford House has an established reputation for its high standard of customer service, all of the staff team are dedicated to ensuring that each event and each person through the door feels special. We aim to support you by being as flexible as we can accommodating your needs and fulfilling your objectives, this is done in a non-obtrusive friendly and professional manner.
Your Meals - Wherever possible fresh local produce is purchased for the preparation and cooking of well balanced and nutritionally sound meals. The inspired menus constructed by our Chef in Charge are changed daily. For that special event; Gala dinners, finger buffets, pre-dinner canapés, barbecues are all offered, or if you would like a particular dish for your group our Chef is very happy to discuss this with you.
Fairtrade - Maintaining the values of Richard Cobden, the Victorian proponent of free trade who’s home we use is important to us. Fairly traded tea & coffee are used and other products such as fairtrade white and red wine and bar snacks are available.
Environment - Increasingly conscious of environmental issues we re-cycle waste plastic, glass & paper. Provide organic beers at the bar and use sustainable fuel in the lounge and free range eggs for cooking. We encourage use of the natural woodland for nature trails, where an abundance of generally undisturbed wildlife can be seen.
Accessibility - The main building at Dunford House revolves around a small open-air courtyard which hides a sloping landscape. Over many years a great deal of thought has gone into ensuring that those less able are catered for in a positive supported way without fuss.
Standards - To ensure our standards of service are always to the optimum we actively encourage feed-back which is used positively for future decision-making strategies. Investing in our people is important in order that your investment in using our venue is worthy. We care about individuals, those that use our facilities and our staff team.
Charity - With Dunford House as part of a major charity by using the facilities here you will indirectly help the YMCA. The YMCAs vision is of an inclusive Christian Movement, transforming communities so that all young people truly belong, contribute and thrive.
