Dunford House Conference & Training Centre is set in 60 acres of grounds, mostly woodland. The boundary to the west is a delightful stream, a tributary to the West Sussex River Rother.
The Woodlands are a haven for wildlife, you may see an abundant mix of animals and birds. For those interested in trees, fauna and moss there is an assortment of these making a short or a long walk of environmental interest.
If you wish to follow a guided route, Dunford has a choice of walks printed and readily available. The shortest of these, guides you around Dunford woodland with markers at points of interest. If you have more time you can choose from different routes around the village, through the forest, into Midhurst or onto the South Downs Way, all have estimated time, distance and type of terrain.
The conservatory at Dunford House designed by Joseph Paxton, houses an array of interesting plants, including a very old grapevine, which produces wonderfully sweet grapes in season.
