Hi, I'm 16, and 5ft 2. I'm not overweight, I'd just like to point that out before I start.
Lately I've been receiving comments about how I could do with going up a dress size, which really gets to me, considering I'm quite comfortable as a size 6-8. But I am starting to feel that that might be wise. I'd really like to lose a dress size and maybe a stone in the next month but I don't really know how to go about it?
My family are quite unsporting, and say, "you're a perfect size" but I don't believe them. This means that I can't skip breakfast or dinner, and can't ask for something healthier, because I don't want them knowing that I want to lose weight.
If I skip lunch, will it make me slimmer? How long will it take until it is noticeable? I'd like to become slimmer as quick as possible.
Also what exercise should I do to make me slimmer? I don't really like it but I walk regularly as it is. Would running up and down the stairs make me thinner and lighter?
Please help me, I'll update with any questions you want to ask, and please, please, please answer with serious suggestions, I don't want to get my hopes up. Thank you so much!

Well first dont skip any meals itll make your metabolism slower easy things to do are drink 6-8 cups of water per day which i believe helps your metabolism go faster for exercise you should walk for 30 mins to start off then run for 30 mins.You can also do is push ups chrunches jumping jacks is a good start.A healthy weight to lose is to lose 1 pound a week but im guessing your in high school then im almost positive you have p.e try your best in the class and do everything your coach/teacher says.Hope this helped a bit.(If your parents dont mind eat 6 meals a day but with smaller amounts itll make your metabolism faster too).good luck :)

You can actually lose weight extremely quickly without altering your diet too much.
- Only drink water! no sugar drinks or fruit juices, just water. If your a high tea drinker, then just take the sugar out.
- Cut out all 'starchy' carbs; these can be found in potatoes, chips, bread,pasta an rice
- Exercise in the morning before you eat breakfast. They might sound like a pain but it's highly effective because your burning fat without consuming anything over the past 8/9 hours. Exercise should include 20 minutes of cardio like swimming, cycling or jogging. Then spend 10 minutes strength training.
do these 3 steps and you will notice result fast.

beware of fat free or zero trans fats foods as you could be trading fats for huge amounts of sugar or sodium

Honestly you should let your family know that you are serious about this. If they see that you are serious they will start to help you little by little. Don't skip any meals at all !! That will not help you loose weight, it's just gonna slow up your metabolism, make you tired and more hungry and when you get to your next meal you will eat more then usual. loosing weight will never be quick unless you are obese and from what you said your not. Take up cardio, do fast paced walking, or running 2 miles a day. Avoid fatty foods, junk food, and anything that you feel would not be healthy. walking up and down the stairs will help you loose weight actually, but have a set pace don't just go crazy because you can tire your self really quickly. if you do this daily you should see some good results in 4-5 months. Its okay to treat your self but once a week and only one meal not the whole day lol so pick the meal wisely most people go for dinner. Hope this works out for you.

swap out brown rice or quinoa yes even the new super food which both add up to about 220 calories per cup for cauliflower or roasted peppers that are only about 30 calories per cup

never eat any snack food out of the box carton or bag it came in you re less likely to overeat if you separate snacks into appropriate fist sized servings
