dont eliminate carbs completely!! you will feel very sick. eat three egg whites with 1/2 cup steamed spinache tbs of low fat cheese on half toasted english muffin cooked in pam for the egg...add a cup of strawberries with that ..breakfast......lunch tuna in water with tsp of lowfat mayo over 1 cup mixed greens two slices tomotoe and cucumber drizzled with tsp olive oil/lemon.....dinner one cod filet with string beans...there i gave you one day of food...two snacks 10 unsalted almonds cottage cheese 1 % with tbs of almond slivers

Melali, I have made lots and lots of protein bars. The best recipes I've found were on these sites: www.liftforlife.com/proteinbars.htm bodybuilding.about.com/od/healthyrecip... It can get a bit tiring making them all of the time so I sometimes buy Quest Bars from www.questproteinbars.com as they are in my opinion, the only healthy protein bars on the market. No sugar, plenty of protein and no unhealthy ingredients. They're especially good if you're trying to reduce the carbs as all of the protein bar recipes I've found have lots of them.

While it taste better with oats it can be done without. Protein Pancakes: 1 scoop whey protein powder 2-3 egg whites (depending on amount of protein you need) 1-2Tbsp natural peanut butter 1/2 tsp baking powder Mix all together and then cook like a normal pancake. I've found that using different whey proteins make it cook different time wise, but just flip when it becomes golden brown.

maybe you should look at south beach it focuses on good carbs but like any good diet everything in moderation. You can even start in phase 2 if you want to and still lose weight.
