Question about weight control?

Question about weight control? Topic: Question about weight control?

Question: I must have asked this question 4 times on this website but the people who comment never seen to know what they're talking about... I need help maintaining my weight loss, it's very difficult and I'd really like help from people who have experienced what I am experiencing now. But I lost a substantial amount of weight, went from 220lbs to 140lbs and am now back up to 164lbs because I cannot control my appetite. I have so much trouble not eating massive amounts, I'm just not sure how. I do not binge eat, I don't think I have an eating disorder, I just eat more than I burn as this is the only way I feel satisfied. If I eat my maintenance level of calories I am constantly hungry, whenever I eat more I feel fine but I gain weight. How can I call my appetite down?? I can't seem to rain it and it is really starting to bother me. I will be leaving for the military next year and it is not an option for me to be overweight so someone who has experience in this please help me out? What is the best way of feeding that leaves you at a calorie deficit but also has you feeling satisfied all day? I can't do the 5 or 6 meals a day thing by the way, I tried it and I was just hungry and miserable the whole time... Additional info; I am 17, 164lbs, 5'8. Thank you!

You should take your question to your doctor and have you thyroid checked. If that's not the problem, then you just eat too much food. If this has been an ongoing problem throughout your teens, it's safe to assume you're not inordinately hungry because of a growing spurt. So, you need to work on eating fewer calories or burning more calories or both. Burning calories is easy. You just walk and walk far. Burning calories is not about sweating and gasping for air, it's about moving a lot of weight over a long distance. Diet is not so simple. Here's the secret. The secret of fat loss is finding food items you enjoy that will keep you well nourished and feeling full without going over your BMR ( http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator... ) in daily calories. If you can find the right foods for you and keep them on hand, you can control your weight. If you have fat to lose, to find out how the best minds in nutrition in the world (at the US NIH) have recommended for decades we lose fat, read my answer about how to lose fat --> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... Here's your ideal weight range --> http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-c... . As you can see, you're not that far out of spec. No one in this forum can crawl inside your brain and fix the way you eat. You have to do that yourself. So, why wait for the military when you can eat and exercise like your in service right now? You have nothing to lose (but fat) by getting used to chow/mess hall eating, so try using the discipline the military is going to demand of you. If you can't do it now, you may not be military material. Take the challenge. Good luck and good health!! ♠

Yes, it's notoriously hard to lose weight while on the pill, and very, very easy to gain weight on it even if you're following a good diet. That's just the nature of the pill, the extra hormones cause weight gain. Just do your best to get a lot of exercise and stick to a lower calorie low sugar diet. It does take longer to lose weight on the pill but the upside is that's the beast way to lose it anyway- very slowly and gradually. All of this is better than getting pregnant!

save the kitchen and the dining room table for cooking and eating try not to use it as a place to do work or other activities or you may be tempted to eat more

Its not water weight. My friends mom used to keep her weight down like this. It makes you poop out all the food you just ate. I remember she would spend lots of time in the bathroom all the time. So I would highly recommend you do not use this as a way to lose weight! Hope this helps
