Weight Loss Failure; Please Help?

Weight Loss Failure; Please Help? Topic: Weight Loss Failure; Please Help?

Question: I'm 16 and a little overweight. I have a belly and a little bit of love handles...I've been trying to lose this extra, say, 10 pounds for about a year and a half. I've tried just exercise, just dieting, and both together, but I always seem to quit within three weeks! One day I slip up and the rest is history. I've tried Zumba which was the longest exercise routine I've stuck to, but it didn't help much so I lost interest of continuing. I've tried Brazilian Butt Lift which was pretty nice but then I kinda just quit that, and I've tried a couple of other DVDs and I've tried running on the treadmill, but I always lose interest or motivation...Dieting has been just eating healthy foods but not depriving myself (salads, lean protein, low carb snacks) but then I start to eat too much of the healthy snacks out of cravings or boredom, which makes them not healthy at all...Plus weight loss pills don't seem like a good idea, but anyway I'm under 18 so I can't take those or go on Nutrisystem or anything... Advice please???

Start w/ aerobics/cardio if you'r medically qualified. That's the best reducer for the low mood [boredom] and anxiety that derail programs. Start gradually w/ a short brisk walk, maybe 10 mins or less, avoid blisters. If you feel ok, and are ok the next day, ie, no blisters, soreness etc, do it again. Gradually add duration [time]... 15 mins, 30, etc. 45 mins, 4 to 6 days a week would be ideal. At some point you could add a lil jogging to the walking, Maybe at some point do all jogging, or use gym eqip: treadmill/ elliptical, etc. Breathe deeply...not too much...dont get dizzy. At 20-30 mins most ppL feel the mood boost from cardio. While doing cardio, keep telling yourself you now have the determination to stay with it; it's exciting, not boring; it's the best thing for you, etc. Talk yourself into it. Motivational psychologists call it Self Talk. You can start the weight training at anytime. Wear steel-toed footwear around free wts. I'm really sorry to read about your little yorkie, we went through similar with one of our Goldens last year. Our vet gave us medication to help stimulate her appetite (Periactin tablets and Nutrigel vitamin gel) this worked for a few weeks when she stopped eating again. She became anorexic from not eating the prescription food and our vet recommended we just let her eat what ever she felt like otherwise she would starve herself to death. She loved warm cooked chicken and mince meat and the occasional left overs. Unfortunately she gave up eating completely, she would arch her back often like she was in pain so we made the very hard decision to have her put out of her pain. I really feel for you, my only advice is to love him give him what he wants and cherish the time you have left.

You need to want it bad enough, and right now, you just don't. That's why you quit everything you try. I have been doing Zumba since January 12, 6 days a week, and I have lost 18 pounds and inches all over. Because I wanted it bad enough to stick with it. You give up too easy, and until you have the willpower and self-motivation, you won't do it. If you can't lose 10 pounds in a year and half of trying, you are just not ready to make a long-term, or even permanent, change in your life. Until you stop sabotaging yourself at every turn, it just won't work. You are your own worst enemy when it comes to weight loss. If you stop every exercise program you start before you even see results, you will never stick to one. If you overeat or eat out of boredom or give into every craving you have, you again are sabotaging yourself. When you really want it bad enough, you will do what's necessary to achieve your goals, until then, it's a losing battle against yourself.

First of all... You need to forget about the past because if you don't you at going to get more and more down in the dumps. All you need to do is think about now... What can you do now that can help you lose weight. And if you keep thinking about doing something now then it will become easy. Even doing little things like walking will help you in the long run. Or drinking a glass of water every day. It all count because you didn't gain weight all yesterday. And you must remind you self that it isn't going to be easy. But you will succeed!!!!!! Quote( in you mind you have succeeded!!! Now you must show the world!! Hope this helped!! Xx

No, your weight reduction isn't a failure. Honestly, wasting one zero five kilos is a gigantic accomplishment, however its no longer close to wasting weight, it is usually approximately doing the recreation to grow to be toned. And additionally, all people offers others the affect that their frame is greater than it's. Don't take it at face importance. And ladies do not provide as a lot care as men do approximately their associate's frame as a usual rule. And any person who does isnt rather valued at a while or attempt besides. By the way in which please beat in brain that I havent regarded on the pix...

Lisha Originally Answered: Am I a failure for feeding my child formula?
I want to encourage you in this. I am a mother of 7. My first two babies were formula fed and my 6th baby was weaned cold-turkey to formula. I have nursed all the other babies. You can't tell the difference between them all despite all the studies and such that say that breastmilk makes starter babies, blah, blah, blah. as for allergies, all my breastfed children have the food allergies in our family. And unless mom is eating a prime diet and started out in pristine health, breast isn't always best. Breastmilk will only be as healthy as momma is healthy. Despite what scientist want to claim, it doesn't always pan out that way in real like. I am a health nut like you and your husband. I spend alot of money every two weeks to feed my family of 9 with organic vegetable and grass-fed beef and poultry. But I can finally rest peacefully in having to use formula simply because in the end, I can't tell the difference between the ones that were formula-fed and the breastfed babies. Check into the Weston Price foundation and see what they have to offer on baby formulas. If you are a health conscience family, this would be a wonderful option for our little one. it might also be something that dh would approve of and agree to. this isn't an option for everyone but it is one I consider for my now 2 yod when I had to wean her cold turkey. I didn't have access to the ingredients I needed for the milk so I wasn't able to do it. As far as being a failure, no mom is a failure that loves her baby and does all she can to nurture. I spent alot of wasted time beating myself up and worrying that I had ruined my children. Be encouraged. You are doing such a wonderful job with your little one. I don't know what to tell you about dh. Personally, I believe that he should be a bit more encouraging of his wife and worry less. Science isn't everything. . .sometimes you've just simply got to look at things fromt he heart. There is more to taking care of baby than simply plunking a bottle or breast in a babies mouth. You are doing all of that and more. Be at peace, sweet momma.
