Question: I am a 14 year old boys bd I am looking to gain weight. I am 5 , 3 and I only weight 98 pounds, I am looking for a way to gain weight naturally. I eat a lot but I am very active so I'm guessing I burn of all the fat? Please help!

If you want to put on weight, you should work out, to insure that you put on muscle and not fat. Healthy weight gain, just like healthy weight loss, takes time and requires a conscious effort to apply good habits. Recommended Ways to Gain Weight Have meals with the right balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and the right kinds of fat (such as unsaturated and monounsaturated fats, olive oil, canola oil, pistachios, almonds and walnuts). Heinemann suggests the following ratio: 60%-70% carbohydrates, 10%-15% protein, and a small amount of fat. Eat foods higher in calories, vitamins, and minerals, as opposed to higher in fat or sugar. Pack more nutritious calories in each serving. For example, you may add grated cooked eggs to mashed potatoes, ground chicken to soups and gravies, cheese in casseroles, eggs, and soups, and nonfat dried milk in soups, shakes, milk, and mashed potatoes. If you get too full too fast, try having more high-calorie foods or slices of foods as opposed to consuming the whole thing (raisins versus grapes, granola and Grape Nuts versus corn flakes, mango slices versus the whole mango). Limit drinking beverages to a half-hour before and after a meal. Drink mixed juices (apple/berry, peach/orange/banana as opposed to one juice beverages) for a higher calorie intake. With moderation, you may add in good fat sources to meals such as nuts, avocado, olives, and fatty fish (salmon and mackerel). Snack in between meals. Nuts, dried fruits, and yogurt are good options, but it's also important to find nutritious foods that you will enjoy. Have a nutritious snack before bedtime, such as a peanut butter sandwich.

ok in order to maximize your results you have to follow a super healthy diet and this of course will make you lose weight, but to balance out and not to lose a lot of weight you will have to use weight gainers. About the diet, I suggest you follow the abs diet, (you can buy the book it is totaly worth it, just keep in mind that it is focused a little more on losing weight although also on gaining muscle) it recomends 12 groups of foods that are super good for you to both build muscle and lose fat. Here are the recomended foods: Almonds Beans Spinach, broccoli, all green veggies, Dairy non or low fat (yogurt) Instant oatmeal (natural, no sugar added) Eggs (more whites than yolks) Turkey, chicken breast, tuna Peanut butter Olive oil Whole grain bread, cereal, brown rice, wheat pasta Extra whey protein (or weight gainers in your case) Raspberries (all berries) apples, bananas, grapefruit And it also has a few rules you have to follow like eating 6 times a day and some other stuff you'll have to consider. The abs diet alone will boost your metabolism and will make it easier for you to gain muscle too. Regarding the workout program, in order to maximize muscle growth, try working 2 muscles per day on a back to back way, meaning biceps and triceps one day, chest and back the next day (back to back muscles) and let the muscles rest for a week. While you workout the muscles tissues get ripped and the muscle grows while resting, while repairing the tissues, not while working out and it takes 1 week to repair the tissues. you can find out more about this in the book Body for life, it has a lot of helful info. So if you follow the abs diet and seriously workout you are probably going to end up losing weight (gaining a lot of muscle tho) but if you don't want to lose weight, here is where you add the weight gainers, I suggest you play it by ear while you see the results after every week, you don't want to over do it and end up gaining fat weight too.

Many of the best natural bodybuilders in the world are in their late 30's or early 40’s and have been training for 10, 15, even 20 years. It's an absolutely unbreakable law of the universe that you can't get something for nothing. Your results will come in direct proportion to the amount of effort you put in. You can only reap what you sow.

Actually more fat isn't good for health but if you really want to gain weight you can have the food that contain more carbohydrate, sweets and organic foods.

If you need to calculate calories you need to consume based on your body, activities, and other factors. 2. Adequate exercise - particularly muscle-building workout such as weightlifting and strength training--must be done. 3. Good nutrition is also important. As you work out, your body uses a lot of minerals. And if your body doesn’t get enough of essential vitamins, the muscle growth and weight gain will be discouraged. 4.
