I've never been able to get a clear answer on this. Health sources keep on toting the health benefits of drinking a glass of red wine a day, but I am not totally sold. I think you can find plenty of similar, if not the same, antioxidants from other sources. Even small amounts of alcohol have been clearly linked to breast cancer and harmful internal inflammation. As an amateur health expert, I have uncovered facts that suggest drinking a glass of no sugar added grape juice or eating 1/2 cup of blueberries may be just as beneficial. There are a tremendous amount of antioxidant properties in just raw grapes and berries. I'm a recovered alcoholic, and I tried the "one glass of red wine a day" thing for health benefits, but I had to stop because only one glass was frustrating me too much.
