Question: I am wanting to cut back on fast food expenses. One, it's not healthy. Two, it's draining my pockets. Can someone help me with a recipe, dish, or just something that I can make and it last a few days? Something that is not too expensive that I can eat off of for 2 or three days when reheated. I do own a crock pot and standard cooking ware. Please help. Thank you.

Oh this dish is really great, because if you're alone it will last you about 3 breakfasts and it tastes really nice as well. But this is mainly a vegetable dish. What you wanna do is get spinach, onions, eggplant (optional), green onions, and tomatoes (also optional) and you want to dice them all up except the spinach. Just cut off the stems off the leaves and cut them in half, because they shrink when cooked. Also, the amount isn't very important. Some people like it more eggy and some like it with more veggies. But don't put like LOADS of vegetables. Preaheat the oven to 400 degrees right now. Next what you wanna do is sautee all of these vegetables in a fry pan. Just you know add some cooking spray to make it as healthy as possible and just cook the veggies down for a minute. After a minute add some coriander and red crushed pepper onto the vegetables and mix it around a bit and cook it for another minute. Then get you know those pyrex glass containers that can be used for the oven and spray the inside of that. This is important, otherwise it will stick. Put all of your vegetables in that and distribute them evenly among the bottom. Then you beat 4 eggs in a bowl and salt and pepper them. Pour the uncooked beaten eggs over the vegetables evenly and have them seap through the vegetables. Pop this pan in the oven at 400 degrees. Wait till the egg is almost cooked and just started to rise. This should be about 30 - 40 minutes. Then move it to the top shelf of the oven and and broil it at 500 degrees for 3 minutes. This should cook it well. If you don't manage to check the egg in time and it goes a little over, don't worry; just skip the broiling. It should yield about 6 slices and 2 is enough for a good breakfast, so it should last you 3 days.

Add some halved cherry tomatoes, snipped anchovies, pitted black olives and blanched French beans if you have them. 4. Make a dressing with the reserved oil using lemon juice, salt and pepper. 5. Pour over the fish then store in the fridge until ready to use. 6. Serve with a fresh baguette. ......................................... For desert you should make Apricot and Almond Balls. I make them all the time and the kids love them! They are healthy, delicious and soo easy to make! Serves: This Recipe makes about 48 Balls. Ingredients: 3/4 cup dried apricots, finely chopped 1/2 cup slivered almonds, roughly chopped 125 mls condensed milk 1 butter cake, processed into bread crumbs 2 tablespoons coconut 1 teaspoon orange juice 1 orange, grated rind 100g white chocolate melted (optional) Method: 1. Place dried apricots, almonds, milk, cake crumbs, coconut, orange juice, and rind in a large bowl and mix well to combine. 2. Use teaspoons of mixture to make small balls. 3. Melt white chocolate over double boiler and pipe chocolate swirls over balls or alternatively dust with icing sugar. Additional Comments: Balls can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. i suggest you put a whole chicken with root vegetables in the crock pot. brown the chicken first and chunk the vegs to bite size before cooking with onions and garlic. when the chicken is cooked you can use the meat off the breast and still have joints as in legs, wings and thighs for later. when you're tired of the vegs you can liquidise them and add some yogurt for one or two hearty soup meals with bread or pasta. that will probably cost you the equivelant of two fast food meals in england.

i like Christine Q' s answer the terrific, as I stick to occasion of greenback shops and Spanish industry's.... and that i attempt to have a backyard too. Rice is often a powerful addition to different healthy issues to fill you up. i do no longer understand how great your loved ones is, yet I feed 5 on a daily basis... rooster thighs are low value, or maybe the breasts break right down to no longer too plenty, rice and a veg... eg. customary save rooster Breasts (chop up) - $7.00 - p.c.. of four or Thighs - $5.00 -p.c.. of 10 Rice .50 area of a bag Veg - sparkling Broc - $3.00 under 15 to feed 5. we replenish on rooster breasts whilst theres a sale. Bananas are a low value snack... we freeze them and dip in chocolate. Cucumbers are like a million.00, my youngster loves them. Mushrooms are great style adders, like somebody reported. Tomatoes are not low value... boost them your self in a field in case you're able to. Rice is the main inexpensive starch. and there's a million issues to do with it. living house made Hamburgers are the terrific! 3lbs fees like 7-8$ and makes 12-15 burgers! desire you have some ideas! have exciting with it.

Raw, fresh, nutritious and minimally-processed foods are more expensive, mostly because they require special handling to reach the consumer unspoiled. Also, because economy of production scale dictates that factory farmed product will be cheaper and therefore more competitive on the shelf than goods farmed for quality. People on tighter budgets will buy the cheaper corn-fed, factory-farmed meat, even though it's less palatable and less nutritious than grass-fed free-range meat, and profit generally follows from the product that moves fastest in a budget-conscious market.
