Question: I weight 130 and want to be 120. Fastest, healthiest way to lose this weight? Include what type of workouts I should do and for how long, I just got a gym membership =) Thanks!

The most your body can lose per week is 2 pounds of fat. If you lose more it is just water and that is dangerous. Eat 6 small meals per day of well balanced food. No need to omit any food group. Carbs and fat are both okay. It is the quantity that matters. About 1,200 to 1,400 calories a day will do it for you. Be sure to eat some protein each time you eat so you will be burning fat and not muscle. Add a workout on the weight machines 3 days per week. A staff member at the gym can show you a good basic routine. Also, do aerobics 3 days per week. You can do a class if your gym offers them or use any of the machines, like a treadmill or stationary bike. Be sure to get your heartrate up to the fat burning range. Losing weight fast is counter-productive because it will just pile straight on again, even more rapidly, if you eat normally again. If you seriously want to lose weight, aim for no more than 1lb per week. The theory is that you would need to reduce your overall calorie intake by 3,500 in a week to lose a pound; however, you could instead try doing 3.500 calories worth of exercise which would have the same effect. Concentrate on eating healthfully - cut out sugar, avoid ALL artificial additives, have three meals per day plus a couple of snacks, with plenty of high quality protein and fruit/vegetables. The aim is to figure out a regime that you can stick with long-term if you want to be fit. Try to get at least an hour's exercise two or three times per week (or half an hour every day) and you should gradually become trimmer.

Run, a lot! Play some sort of sport or activity they offer at your gym with a bunch of your friends. Do Sit ups daily, (hands on your ears bring your head to your knees, then make each elbow touch the opposite knee, side to side motion) try starting with 100 a day. Don't worry about eating though, eat healthy but don't fast or just not eat. Cut down on chips, soda, chocolate. Junk food basically. It's all about self-motivation though it won't happen overnight you gotta keep this up for at least a month.

You should combine diet and exercise for best and fast results. Choose healthy foods you like and replace unhealthy ones you eat in a day with them. Drink lots of water. Stay away from fat and sugar. Dont eat after 7pm. Eat 5 small meals in day, including snacks, not 3 big ones. Eat grilled and boiled foods, not fried and fastfoods. Here is a sample diet plan; Breakfast: Slices of tomatoes, a piece of cheese, 4 5 olives, 2 egg whites and green tea Snack: nuts or fruits Lunch: Salad Snack again Dinner: Grilled chicken, turkey or fish and boiled vegetables or salad You should exercise for best, fast and permanent results. You can exercise at home easily with a good program. And support it with walkings or runnings. Good luck:)
