IF they worked everyone would be doing it wouldn't they?
In regards to losing weight - you have to burn more calories than you consume. That's the bottom line. Eat less fatty sugary foods more physical activity.
Have you ever noticed there aren't any fat Ethiopians?

First of all, let's look at some facts about weight loss pills. Pushing aside the hype, are there pills that actually work and make you lose weight? If there are, do they have negative side effects that make them dangerous and not worth the risk? Well, one FDA approved pill in an OTC form is called Alli. It works by having more of your fat intake processed through your bowels. However, the gastrointestinal side effects can be very unpleasant so the company that manufactures the product advises to lower your fat intake. If you lower your fat intake, you don't need this pill. There are other pills you can take as well, and all of them advocate a healthy diet and exercise for the pill to be fully effective. So here is the conclusion: if you need to diet and change your diet to low fat and healthy foods, why would anyone spend money to take a pill and experience unpleasant side effects when all you need to do is change your diet and exercise with no pills and no side effects? Use common sense, pills are not the answer and there is no pill that takes the place of exercise and healthy diet habits.
There have been pills in the past that worked because they increased metabolism and prompted people to maintain a high level of activity. However, these types of pills have been taken off of the market because they are unhealthy and even resulted in death.
Cardio and Core Exercises
In order to burn fat you need to burn calories. To burn calories you need to increase your metabolic rate to lose weight fast without pills or other artificial aids. Consult your trainer for a good comprehensive cardio program that fits with your age, your weight loss goals and your current physical condition. You'll not only lose weight but be pleasantly surprised at the increased energy and endurance you'll achieve.
Skip the Sauna
Contrary to popular belief, you can't sweat your way to fast weight loss. You can reduce body weight temporarily by eliminating excess fluids, but in reality a healthy diet includes drinking healthy amounts of water to help keep your body hydrated. That is important for general health including healthy skin, hair and nails. So, getting into the sauna will not be a solution for sustained healthy weight loss.
Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.
Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It's an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace .com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that you diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It's really great to stop food cravings.
Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hey, you've come to the right place, as far as one who's tried just about every diet out there...except for pills. They just don't work. With any of the ones I've heard about, they still require you to follow a certain diet and/or exercise program...which you could effectively do yourself, minus the pill, and have excellent results. Listen, there is NO magic pill, drink, food, exercise or piece of equipment that will make all the fat melt away. It's all a bunch of hooey! If they all worked, the company that made it would have trouble keeping it on the shelves...people would be lined up around the corner & down the block to get it. Through all my years of one failed diet after another, I've resigned myself to a Curves membership, and a membership with a weight loss support group, because I've learned that it's all about controlling your portions and getting the appropriate amounts of exercise. That's the bottom line. I've lost almost 60 pounds doing just that in this past year. Here's a free site you can check out that may be of some help in your research:

If it's to be a good report, start with a nutrition store and a chain drug store and act like a shopper for these products.
See if they treat you any differently, what they recommend, what they will sell you without your parents' OK, and so on.
You will find that "fat burners" are fiction. If they work, they are not safe and if they are safe, they don't work.
Write down the ingredients if they let you, and then look them up on the web. You will be amazed what you find. Huge amounts of certain vitamins, protein powder, fiber fillers, caffeine, and lots of things only a chemist would know!
Then check with the FDA and the USDA (on line) about "diet aids", they will give you great information.
And don't take any "fat burners". The best fat burner is a dog that requires long walks.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.
2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.
3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.
These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

ANY medication that is NOT recommended by a doctor can have side effects, just imagine...a product that was made for
"everyone"...how can it not have side effects all of our organisms are different.
And YES they DO work...but it DOES NOT change your way of eating, so you gain it back in a snap, most of the time you gain back a LOT more than you had before so it is not worth it , is it?

Originally Answered: Does Alli Diet pills work? And what are the most harmful side effects?
I don't know their success rate but they should work but be wary there are some very bad side effects.
This is some of the FAQ on the alli website
What are diet-related treatment effects?
Can I take anti-diarrhoeal products to help manage diet-related treatment effects?
I think I passed some blood with a bowel movement as there was some redness in the toilet bowl water and on the toilet tissue. What is happening? Is it because I'm taking alli?
The are talking about when you eat too much fat it just gets passed right out of your bowels and I've heard alot about yellow/orange diarrha that leaks!
This is how they say it works (answer to first question too)
alli works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat and so as a result of the way it works, you may notice an effect on your bowel movements. These effects are related to your diet and if you stick to your fat targets they should be manageable. However, if you eat too much fat, these changes are more likely and may include wind, with or without oily spotting, fatty or oily stools, or sudden bowel motions.
It is important to remember that these diet-related treatment effects are largely due to what you eat. If you stick to your recommended fat targets, you are less likely to have any problems.
In a 3-month study of alli use, less than 9% of subjects on alli dropped out due to these effects. In fact, many users have told us that the effects were a signal that the capsules were working and helped them maintain healthier eating patterns.
All medicines can have side effects so you should check with your pharmacist or doctor if anything unusual or severe occurs when using alli. If you want to report a side effect you think is associated with alli, click here.
The alli programme is here to help you adopt a healthy lifestyle. The website provides online support, useful tools, tips and lower-fat recipes to help you stay motivated and on track.
I remember seeing a video on line I'm sure the woman was taking something similar to these, she was in a pool with other people and suddenly had a "sudden bowel motion" everyone else jumped out and she was left on video just after gone to the toilet on herself(and everyone in the pool!)
