Question: I have a fat pouch I'd like to lose for the summer. I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 105 pounds.iv heard that you can't lose fat from just one area but Iv been running 2.5-3 miles every day for a month and all it did was tone up my legs and I lost leg fat. I'm a vegan so I eat healthy. What excercises should I be doing or how many calories should I be eating to achieve this goal?

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have to work double on them. The best approach is this: 1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal weight, lower for overweight). 2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage. 3. Target your problem areas with exercises. an excellent exercise you can do it at home in front of your TV: Attach a couple of ankle weights to your ankles. Lay down on the floor or any other hard surface. Use an exercise rug so as not to bruise your spine off the floor. Put your hands behind your head, or spread them wide. Lift your legs perpendicular to the floor, stop for a second. Lower the legs down. Repeat ten times, stop. Turn on your stomach, raise on your hands, with the lower part of the body on the floor, as if trying to look at the ceiling. Turn back, do another set. Do three sets with ten repetitions every day. In a week, you should see the results. Once you are used to the exercise, and your muscles won't get stronger anymore, add weight to your ankle weights. Remember: repeating the same easy exercise many times won't help. Do it only with the weights. Simple leg raises do not work. Use weights, they do wonders. Stretch your spine between repetitions. Be careful not to go for too heavy weight at once. Do not increase the weights continuously, stop when your abs are defined - too heavy weights will lead to injuries.

Getting rid of belly fat is freaking hard. It took me like 4 years to lose my belly fat working out. It is the hardest area to burn fat. The only way to burn belly fat fast is with a liposuction but I’m sure you don't want to do that. The problem is that you can't target a specific area. When you lose weight you lose weight all over your body. The only way to burn your belly fat is by losing weight. You will lose weight all over your body, and you will become even skinnier. Eat clean and continue working out like you are doing. Eat roast chicken and fish only and a lot of vegetables. Avoid bad carbs like white bread and white rice, and try to eat whole wheat bread and brown rice if you can. If you can’t stop eating white rice like I do lol try to eat 2 small portions of white rice with roast chicken or fish like I do with red beans. At night try to eat cheerios with 1 % milk fat like I do. Also eat fruits like apples, oranges and bananas between each meal. Try to eat at least 5 meals a day every 3 hours to keep your metabolism running. Try to eat egg whites for protein for breakfast with turkey burgers, and whole wheat bread and fruits. Cheese I just gave you my menu.

Look into some ab workouts.. Running will help you a lot, but like you said it toned your legs and not your stomach.. work them abs and you'll get rid of the pouch in like a week in a half!

I used to have big problems with over-weight, but am getting in better shape now. Here's a good site I found that really helped. you have to do some cardio to lose fat. Therefore you are gonna need a place to run. Also try doing situps and crunches to tone your abs a little

that fat is only an indication of your total body fat. You have fat everywhere, and must lose it everywhere to show an improvement in your belly. You can do abdominal exercises to tighten and tone the muscles, but the fat is going to cover the muscles. Try to eat healthy, do abdominal and core work everyday, and it will show some improvement in a month or so, nothing will work quickly. The fat did not get there quickly.
