Here are my top recommendations for teas to help you with sleep: kava kava, valerian root, chamomile, hops, passion flower, lemon balm, catnip, and skullcap. These are pretty much listed in order of preference. So kava kava would be my first choice, valerian my second choice, then chamomile etc.
Avoid green or black tea, since these contain caffeine---unless you can find them in decaf. You can also look for a tea that has a combination of some of these herbs. I think there is a tea called Sleepytime Tea by Celestial Seasonings that may be available in walmart.
I don't know how you feel about over the counter sleep aids (Unisom, Sominex, etc.) in drug stores. I guess they are ok if you use them occasionally. I hope this helps.
