If you only drink water ( and alcohol on the weekends) and no sodas,sweet tea, lemonade, or anything else will that help you lose weight?

If you frequently drink soda, juice, iced tea and other sweetened drinks, you'll lose quite a bit of weight from that alone. Most people really don't realize how many liquid calories they take in every day. Several years ago when I was starting off trying to lose a large amount of weight, my first step was to cut out sweetened drinks. They add a huge amount of calories to your day but don't fill you up like the same amount of calories of food would. For the record, I never gained the weight back and as far as sodas and stuff, I never looked back. I drink lots of water.
Water is said to have other weight loss benefits like increased fat loss, improved metabolism, and decreased hunger. While I can't attest to that and am not completely sold on those claims, what is 100% true is that water is just good for your health in general. Great for your skin and keeps you from being dehydrated, obviously, which can make you sluggish and cause headaches and just make you feel bad.
Drink up! As long as you're not drinking extreme amounts of water, it can only do good things for your body.

yes because your not having to work of the sugar you drank. things like orange juice are also good as long as there low in sugar and they also have vitamins that will help you loose weight if your planning on working out

Alternatively, you could try getting a water bowl that keeps the water moving, as some cats and dogs don't like drinking still water. If you're really worried, see a vet.
