No because healthier foods usually come in big packages and they require preparation time. I can feed my family of 4 on $33.00 a week and we have mostly veggies and grains. Our Breakfast is Oatmeal with Fresh Fruit Lunch is a whole grain pasta salad with lots of fresh fruits or veggies and sometimes chicken. Dinner we have Roasted Veggies with Qunioa or Beans or Rice, with lots of flavors and textures and styles. I love to cook and we are not vegetarians. We just like fresh food cooked fresh daily and we like to get creative. For Example today we are having a Shrimp Stirfry, each shrimp is approximately 1 oz. We have four people so we have 16 shrimp and a lot of veggies with a little bit of flavor or marinade. We use Brown Rice and eat that with water or lemon aid. Eating healthy is about love of food and what you want to get out of your food and wallet. We do not buy Organic because like Penn and Teller say it is total BS. We just buy the in season veggies and fruits and get them on sale. We also have a garden and go to the farmers market every weekend.

Star Star
Anything that is a fruit or vegetable, preferrably fresh or frozen as opposed to canned. Also lean meats like chicken, turkey, lean pork, and fish. Nuts are a good choice, as well as any kind of whole grain, and dried beans. Just think anything found in nature that is not processed. And try to stay away from red meat except for the leanest cuts. If you must eat bread and pasta go for the ones that say "whole wheat" and "100% whole wheat" is even better.

well what you need is some oatmeal and tuna and fish, add in a teaspoon or two of olive oil or have a half an avocado will get you some good fat in you for healthy shiny skin. Add that with an apple and another frruit with some celery and broccoli combined with whole grain breads and some egg whites with a handful of almonds with around 100 ounces of water a day and you will be doing good.

eat at least 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, 2 servings of dairy, a serving or two of protein-rich foods (eggs, chicken, beans), a variety of grains (whole, like brown rice and oats), if the 1st ingredient is enriched flour try to stay away (wheat flour is better), limit sugar and drink at least 6 glasses of water a day.

You can lose 10 lbs/mo with this plan: ................ Breakfast: Oatmeal or granola with banana, berries and nuts.................. Lunch: Half sandwich on whole wheat and yogurt................ Dinner: Green salad with tomatoes, broccoli, shredded cheese, chicken or turkey................ Stick to fresh fruits and veggies, salads, eggs, chicken, turkey, fish, whole grain cereals and drink lots of water. Avoid fast foods, junk foods, greasy foods, sodas, coffee or starches. Noodles, rice, potatoes, bread, muffins, bagels and all forms of pasta which turns into sugar in your body. Eat only what fits in a soup bowl. No second helpings. Never eat in; restaurants: food has too much fat, salt and preservatives. And of course do some exercising.......................... Join a gym; the trained staff there will show you what equipment to use and for how long to get the look you are trying to achieve.
