Best (true) nutrition books?

Best (true) nutrition books? Topic: Best (true) nutrition books?
July 19, 2019 / By Blaze
Question: I'm going to become an MD and then study with a ND or holistic doc for a little while. I eventually want to do blood tests and determine food allergies, best diet for patients, etc. for long term health and preventative care. I'm getting my general courses out of the way right now, but wanted to know some good books for that type of nutrition-- more alternative/holistic stuff. I completely disagree with the food pyramid-- we should not mainly eat carbs(for many reasons, one includes the glutten), the fact that proper nutrition is not stressed, supplements possibly being banned/cost raised highly in future(raised by FDA if the DSS Act is passed), etc. What are some good (true) nutrition books I can read? None of this food pyramid garbage. My acne cleared 85% when i stopped eating glutten, 5% when i stopped eating sugar, and another 5% when i stopped eating dairy. I'm talking paleo diet, vitamin c, yoga, etc. book, but something very general yet concise and specific that can help me expand my knowledge. I'm reading a book on Ginkgo Biloba right now, but want something more general on nutrition. I'm very open minded and aren't completely against the AMA, however I find it sick that they stress doctors to prescribe probiotics with antibiotics, etc. I hate the fact that products get recalled or taken off the market for the terrible side effects. I want to help people and do good in the world. Help me do this by recommending good books for me to purchase and read.

Culinary is not the same thing as a nutrition major. Nutrition is exactly what you're reading - the science of nutrition. It's not about how to be a chef. Some community colleges and four year schools offer actual culinary majors. Use the college search function at www.collegeboard.org to find those in locations that you like. Avoid the "le Cordon Bleu" (if they still exist) and the Ai and other for-profits. They are very expensive, and they aren't respected. You can get the same job out of a community college culinary program as you would out of one of those schools, and you'd spend tens of thousands of dollars less at a cc culinary program, and it would be more reputable. The CIA is a good school, but there's no guarantee that even if you went there, you'd end up in a job that paid you well enough to pay back those loans. Be very cautious of this.

I have read the Hunger Games trilogy before therefore of course I would recommend you to read the trilogy, it literally blast my brains off! Romance, check, suspense, check, thrilling, check. Hunger Games is one of the best package deal books have to offer. I could say this, once you start Hunger Games, you never want to stop. At least that's what happened with me. The summary for wizards really catches my eye, and I don't say that I reject Wizard Heir because I read Hunger Games, I think both are really good books, but since I've only read Hunger Games, so I would highly recommend you this series. The wizards Heir eh? I'll check them out too! By the way, why don;'t you just get both books and read them both?
