Question: i just entered my second year on my birth control (implanon) in january , and i literally gained 20 lbs in 3 months. ive always walked about 2 miles a day and it kept my weight stable,but now i cant stop gaining weight. i just need something that will boost my results, weight loss pills, whatever. any ideas wanted. i have the implanon, its implanted in my arm. i cant just "switch birth control." its not that simple.

Eat healty and exercise. Pills and supplements are not going to help you only diet and exercise are. Eat the right food allot of vegtables tons and tons of vegtables and lean meats like boneless chicken turkey fish, watch your portions also when people eat large meals more than likely your body stores them as fat if you eat 5-6 small meals a day your body stays digesting those meals and you burn calories in digestion and everyday movement alone. Throw some more exercise in there and you will be good. Weight loss is acheived when you are burning more calories than you are taking in. You can eat as many vegtables that you want and never gain a pound because there is not fat in them they are really good for you tons and tons of vegtables. Also cut out ALL sugar. Sugar is the hardest thing to work off in the gym or during cardio SUGAR is EVIL!!!! No soda or juice. You should eat your juice ie fruits and what not not drink them. The more water the better! You are actually suppose to drink half your body weight in ounces a day of water You may be going pee allot but you will be helping yourself out immensly. Its not just about walking 2 miles a day its about your heart rate. Go online and look up your age and a low fat cardio burn and maybe get a cheap heart rate monitor. If you keep your heart in a zone for 45 minutes your going to burn allot of calories and lose weight even if it is walking at 3.5 miles per hour which really is not fast at all. Last but not least more exercise. SWIMMING is amazing for your body because it works out everything. It will build your relative strength ( how much you can lift your own body weight) will build your cardiovascular endurance and works out your entire body and is not high impact. Eat right Exercise Daily wether it should be ZUMBA at home on the tv or walking alittle faster keeping your heart rate in the zone. Drink more water cut out sugar and you will see some improvement. It takes 5 weeks for a person to notice change in themselves. Stay Strong keep motivated and you will see progress don't give up. To give yourself an idea of what you take in calories during a day go to MYFITNESSPAL.COM and start tracking what you eat. It is really easy to use and is very helpful.

I am not a fan of diet pills at all. That being said you are smart enough to at least consider Alli. The only FDA approved diet supplement on the market. Losing weight is 80% diet. You just can't lose weight starving or eating a fad diet. If you couple a healthy diet with Alli you will lose weight. Be advised Alli causes sudden and oily stools so you will need to adjust to it. The less fat you eat, the less the side effects. It is a good training tool that way.

Switch birth controls, there are others that will not make you gain weight. Also try low carb diet and switch up your exercises. Good Luck!
