There are actually two type of weight loss, Real and Phantom. Phantom weight loss is the kind you get when using any of the gimmicks like wraps, weight suits, etc. They all work under the premise that you lose weight while sweating. The problem is that the weight loss is WATER WEIGHT. These programs let you see a reduction on the scale for a day or so because you're been dehydrated. Once you get back all the water your body typically carries, you return to your original weight. So while your scale says you've lost weight for those few days, it's really not the actual weight you wanted to lose. The question should then be;" Why then are these types of weight loss tricks so popular?" The answer lies in our strong desire for rapid weight loss the easiest way possible. The wraps etc. all promise weight loss and deliver phantom weight loss. This in turn is part of the up and down cycle that disappoints and frustrates us all. We don't gain all that extra weight over a 2-4 week period so why do we assume that it's possible to lose it all in such a short time period? The only answer to weight management is to eat less and be more active. That's it! All the supplements, exercise equipment, plans, programs, pills, surgeries, etc. are all designed to either get us to eat less or be more active. No magic in weight loss really. We need to eat fewer calories and/or burn more by being more active. One thing that does work is to make lifestyle changes. Choices in what we eat and what we do can make all the difference in the world. Little things like parking your car away from the store and walking is a good way to increase activity. If you drink sugared soda, switching to a low or no calorie alternative will result in losing a pound every 3 weeks or so just by making this one change. Doesn't sound like much but it's a 17 pound weight loss in a year without being on a "diet" and this is real weight loss. Simple changes can make all the difference.

Colon cleansing has absolutely no medical benefit and is in fact harmful to the digestive system. Old science from the late 1800's when meat was the main food and people were constipated all the time. Not enough fruit and vegetables. There is no build up of bad plaque, toxins, or sludge in a normal, reasonably healthy system. If this was the case we would have people dying left and right from malnutrition since their small intestines couldn't absorb nutrients. The majority of the water from food and what we drink is reabsorbed through the colon, if our colons were clogged we would all be walking around looking like sponges right? Detoxing is ridding the system - liver, kidneys, and intestines of toxins both internal and environmental. Additionally, many toxins are stored in our fat cells so in order to truly "detox", you need to lose excess body fat as well to fully detox. We "cleanse and detox" naturally 24 hours a day through respiration, sweat, liver, and kidneys. We can help by eating a healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be. Minimal alcohol, caffeine, soda. Read food labels. If you can't pronounce it, don't put it in your body. Cleanses actually flush out the beneficial bacteria and enzymes in the digestive system. Search gut flora to learn about the beneficial bacteria we need in our colon. We have more beneficial bacteria in our digestive systems than all the cells in our bodies! Did you know the digestive system is one of the largest contributors to our immune system? They don't tell you about the gas, cramping, and bloating you will experience when you start eating again and the body has to rebuild this bacteria population. Spend your money in the produce department. Good luck.

No. they don't usually make you lose weight. What they do is help tone your body, adn they claim to assist in sort of solidifying your body so that you lose body mass, rather than weight. What the wraps are good for is drawing out toxins, increasing the blood flow to the skin, and generally improving teh texture and appearance of the skin. They are a great treat and certainly act as motivation if you are trying to lose weight through exercising.

It simply takes to the air extra water. Like whilst you first begin a nutrition and also you lose water weight first. The water from the wrap will come again in an afternoon or 2 despite the fact that.. But it's well to take pollution out or off your frame.
