How can the New York Giants get to the Super Bowl? Topic: How can the New York Giants get to the Super Bowl?

Question: I'm a Giants fan and I wish to know via their remaining schedule (Philadelphia, Washington, Carolina and Minnesota) how can they get into the wild card? My prediction is 9-7 (L, W, W, L). Finally can they get in there with a 9-7 record? Thanks! The Giants-Saints game was a 48-27 massacre at the Superdome.

Philadelphia is actually a very winnable game, so hopefully the Giants will end up 10-6, and a possible 11-5 if Brett Favre continues his end of the year interception antics again. The Cowboys have a tough schedule coming up, but if we beat the Eagles we'll be in great position to take the division. Once we make the playoffs, their play on all levels has to drastically increase in order to have a chance at the Super Bowl

You know what though other NFL teams have cheated. The reason why the pats are talked about so much is because they won superbowls. I bet your team has cheated as well you might not know about it. I must say though I am not happy that they cheated but I wish the NFL would focus on other teams that had cheated as well and not just point out the pats. Oh and about the Yankees how many of them were on the mitchell report? Think about that. GO RED SOX!!!!!

LOL Good question. . .I bet we all do, but it's sort of clouded by how we remember the Celtics Victory parade. . .And 6 games, and they still aren't even in the top 2. Hmmm. Tough to be the Yankees this year. Maybe they are calling it a wash of a season and waiting for their new stadium?

I doubt they'll get in at 9-7 or in a wild card slot. This looks like a year where only one team in the NFC East makes it, but the division crown is still very much up for grabs. If they do beat Philly next week, they'll be in very good shape. Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. Obviously their pass defense needs to step it up though.

as an Eagles fan, i believe you guys beat Dallas for the wildcard slot. but it would look like you would play the Saints in the 2nd round. and we all know how that game was back in the season. i don't see you guys beating the Saints with the absence of your run game and pass defense.

That is a hard question to answer because there really are several I can recall as being good games. Last night's game would be one of them. Both SB's with Cincy and SF were good. The first one was a goal line stand by SF and the second one was a classic Joe Montana game-winning drive. The Pats vs Rams was a good one because it was close and the underdog rose up to deck the heavy favorite. The Steelers vs Cowboys in '76 was also a good one and I really hated to see either team lose. Both teams played their hearts out. Swann's catch is still one of my all-time favorite SB catches. The Bills vs Giants in '01 was another nail-biter and the Bills lost when Scott Norwood missed a last second field goal. The Bills came back the next three years but were blown out in all three games.
