Question: Okay, so since around the middle of my easter holidays, I've been on a diet I'm order to lose weight for an upcoming family occasion. My daily diet consisted of: Breakfast: 2 crackerbread w/ butter and tea Lunch: same except w/ water Dinner: small bit of meat, salad and maybe veg. Depended on my mood Snacks: crackerbread or cereal Drank loads of water and exercised (lunges, crunches, sit ups and walked a mile a couple of times a week) why the hell has my stomach seemed to have bulged? I swear to god I was looking at it today, it looks as if I ate nothing but chocolate, crisps, cake and the like. Why has this happened? Help me?! No, I'm not pregnant, I'm only 14. Could be the bread answer, all the answers are great help thanks! I've changed my diet and my stomach has gone down noticably. Thanks!

It's because your bloated from not enough food. Have you ever seen those commercial with those kids who are dying in Africa- well they're super skinny but their stomachs protrude because it is so empty- that is a common and scientific side effect. If you're trying to loose weight you should a) eat a little more and b) have more variety...you absolutely no fruit and maybe a vegetable? Super unhealthy. Here is a sample 3 day meal plan which would be much better for you and also prevent you from possibly overeating later. Day 1 Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs on a slice of toast, two clementines Lunch: raw vegetables (baby carrots x8, celery sticks x3, cherry tomatoes x4- with 2 tbsp. of hummus Dinner: 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice, medium piece of chicken and cooked spinach (half cup) Snacks: 1) apple 2) 6oz Activia yogurt Lots of water! Day 2 Breakfast: 1/2 cup soy milk w/ 1/2 cup of kashi cereal, 1/2 cup blueberries Lunch: 2oz mini can of tuna w/ celery sticks to dip it in Dinner: 1 cup of cooked whole wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce and 3 vegan meatballs Snacks: 1) banana 2) slice of cheese and 3 crackers Lots of water! Day 3 Breakfast: 1/2 cup of uncooked oatmeal---1 cup cooked, strawberries Lunch: salad w/ some strips of grilled chicken Dinner: turkey sandwich w/ lettuce and tomato Snacks: 1) grapes 2) 1 scoop of frozen yogurt Lots of water! Plus work out!

The same thing happens to me /: And it's especially annoying because I'm trying to LOSE weight. You probably need more fiber in your diet. Start buying whole grain bread, and look on the back of the package. You want the fiber content to be at least 3-4 grams per serving, more if you can find it. And eat cereals like FiberPlus by Kellogs. They make this great one thats only 110 calories per serving, and has 9 grams of fiber in it. Also, wheat thins makes "fiber selects" crackers that are 5 grams of fiber for a handful of crackers, and they're pretty good. I used to be irregular too but the fiber REALLY helps, and also helps with weight loss. Try it! Also, drink more water.

Tooooooooooooooooo much bread products. Switch to proteins and eat some broiled or roasted chicken. To much water, you're retaining it. Bread has salt in it and it's helping to retain water. Eat veggies with your salad like garbanzo beans (chickpeas) and kidney beans. Good fats and protein in both with light vinegar and oil dressing.

You're probably just bloated but also your diet doesnt sound as if there is enough variety, try eating plenty of fruit and veg, rice, pasta, dried nuts and fruit
