The fat separates from the milk when it cools. So, it seems like it would need to be warmed if for no other reason. I used an Avent pump and pumped straight into a bottle with a bottle liner, then removed and clipped the liner, put it into another bottle liner (as my lactation consultant recommended because it would be less likely to get nicked...they're thinner than breastmilk storage bags), and added the date and time of day. Then I stored it in the refrigerator or freezer. At this point it was easy to drop back into my bottle for a feeding. Also the breastmilk changes it's fat content throughout the day. So, it is best to put the times on the milk so you can give the baby milk from the correct time of day. Morning has more sugar and less fat to help fuel the waking/playing hours and evening has more fat to help the baby sleep longer at night.

The importance of breastfeeding cannot be overstated in building a strong immune system. Breastmilk is much more than food. In addition to providing the absolute best nutrition for a growing body, breastmilk supplies the factors needed to develop the immune system and protect your baby against disease. Breastfeeding also adds the loving touch and comfort that is crucial to the growth and well being of your baby. breastmilk has recently been in the news for helping to treat more serious illnesses. Adult cancer patients have been drinking breastmilk in an attempt to boost their immune systems and cope better with the side effects of chemotherapy.2 While this is not a common practice, a milk bank in California has supplied a group of pioneering patients with breastmilk for the past few years. One lucky recipient of this donor milk, Howard Cohen of Palo Alto, California, strongly believes that ingesting breastmilk daily has helped his prostate cancer go into remissio Several clinical studies have shown that since each mother's milk is made specifically for her own baby, it is effective in ridding the infant's eyes and nose of viruses and germs. I have used it on my own children, and even on myself. Recently, my daughter had pinkeye; when I applied my breastmilk to his eyes several times a day, the conjunctivitis cleared up. A friend of mine used her breastmilk on all her family members whenever they got pinkeye, and thus for years she was able to avoid having to buy prescription eyedrops

No, because you already have the antibodies that are in the milk. The benefits of breastmilk is that it contains antibodies that YOU have been exposed to that the baby hasn't been. It also contains other things that YOU already have, so there'd be no benefit.

herbal tea - (green tea, white tea, oolong/red tea) all contains polyphenols which have a range of benefits. you can get green tea which has been oxidised, black tea, completely oxidised, oolong/red tea which is semi-oxidised or white tea, unoxidised. the difference is that oxidation causes stronger concentrations of caffiene which stimulate the metabolism and therefore you lose weight. however, unoxidised or less oxidised tea, if you drink it before you eat, causes your insulin levels to rise which burns fat. also, drinking any sort of chinese/japanese herbal tea 15 minutes before eating increases energy expenditure 10%. if you drink tea immediately after eating, you burn an extra 10% of fats. also, note that green tea has only 4 calories per cup! Also, it is believed that the polyphenols in tea seem to aid in the digestion of fat, truly making it a Chinese diet tea. also, Japanese researchers claim if you drink five cups of green tea a day, you'll burn 70 to 80 extra calories. Dr. Nicholas Perricone, an anti-aging specialist, appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and told Oprah's viewers they can lose 10 lbs. in 6 weeks drinking green tea instead of coffee not to mention herbal tea has a wide range of health benefits - i.e women drinking 4-6 cups a day have 46% less chance of getting ovarian cancer, in terms of skin, it's an anti-aging substance - notice how women in asia have beautiful skin and look years younger? there are so many health benefits, i could tell you about them all! check out the links below, it's a good start. but i can say that green tea burns up calories and stimulates your metabolism, provided of course, you don't add any sugar or milk or whatever. if you want green tea to work, you need to drink 4-6 cups a day and you should see results not only in your weight, but your overall body. green tea is a natural relaxer and it also helps clear your skin! herbal tea is a natural laxative, so it's very good for natural digestion. personal experience - i was 47 kilos (l'm 5"1) and i know it's not overweight by any means lol, but then i started drinking 5+ cups a day of a variety of oolong, black, green tea etc and after about 4 months, l now only weigh 45.5 kilos! it's really amazing the effect it has on you, but of course, it is a long term effect and is combined with how it acts as an appetite supressant. i find drinking black tea in the morning is especially good because it increases your metabolic rate which is ideal in the morning times. good luck, and check out the links below, they are really helpful!
