Meat is your best friend if you're trying to gain weight. Eat lots of meat, and to gain more muscle then lift a lot of weight a few times [builds more muscle], rather than a little weight a lot of times [better for women who want to be toned]. Protein drinks and shakes are also good for after your workout.
fresh herbs can really zing up a healthy meal try growing some in the kitchen using a strawberry pot preserve the flavor by adding fresh herbs at the end of the cooking process
store bought salad dressings can be packed with calories make your own vinaigrette and store it in a small spray bottle to coat your greens without over dressing them
do your grocery shopping with a list and a time limit that way you re less likely to stray into the processed foods section
beware of fat free or zero trans fats foods as you could be trading fats for huge amounts of sugar or sodium

eh, I was 6'1 130 all throughout highschool, I'm 6'4 170 now. First of all basketball, the game I truly love and die for. You may be able to hold your own now, but if you want to continue to play at a competitive level, in the next year or two you'll begin to see the guys around you get thicker and taller. They'll push you around and post you up like you don't even exist. It's not a good feeling. Either start working your 3 point shot so you can be an outside threat or get a quality protein powder and take 120+ grams a day with a workout regiment. As for whether or not chicks dig skinny guys, from experience I'll have to say no, not really. It's better then being Fat, yes, but you need some tone before you'll start to get noticed. At 14 you can take protein no matter what your mother or anyone else tells ya, it's the other supplements you should wait till you're 17-18 to take. Anyways, best of luck don't be afraid to throws some elbows in the post.
