Is there something special you do for your kids?
Topic: Is there something special you do for your kids?
October 15, 2019 / By Abinoam Question:
that no matter what it is or how corny it is- they have always liked you to do it for them? Even despite them getting older?
My children love it on saturday mornings when i make them chocolate chip pancakes. During the winter they also get a glass of hot cocoa.
The one Saturday I made them plain ones, my kids (both older) were really offended! They told me they liked the pancakes I made and could i make them some chocolate chips ones again. Needless to say- I havent stopped making them yet!

Every Saturday we all go bowling and eat pizza! My kids are 3 & 4 and 10 and we all enjoy each other and spend time together as a family that day! Sometimes we stay there for 6 hours, LOL!

if youre watching weight its not recommended to eat carbs before bed... or anything for that matter 3 hrs or so before bedtime. It will all just get stored, expecially carbs and sugar. Carb heavy foods like cereal are a morning and afternoon thing. A decent nighttime snack is some sugar free jello, the one that says weight watchers zero points, or raw vegetables like carrots, celery or even apple. Special K isn't as healthy as it markets itself, it has high amounts of sugar.
There is not just one thing I do for my children , they are all grown now and each time they ask me to help them I do , sometimes I wonder hoy to stretch my self for all of them , but I try . to answer to all of them . I should have been quads .

My kids love to bake. I have a 2, 8 and 10 year old and we have the best time when we cook together. They also love banana bread and I always make it for them before swim meets. They insist that they swim faster if they have it for breakfast with a hard boiled egg. I wouldn't dream of going to a meet without it. With three kids and a busy life, I still try to spend alone time with each child every night even if it's only for a few minutes. I try to do small things for them often. It makes them feel special.

That's so cool of you. Your kids will have wonderful memories of your special Saturdays as adults. Gotta make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside huh? Our "special" time is bedtime. My husband reads to the boys (we're reading Arabian Nights right now) and I sing them to sleep. I have a pretty crappy voice let me tell you but they insist they can't sleep without their lullabyes. My oldest is 10 and it breaks my heart to know that one day soon he won't want me to sing him to sleep anymore. Guess I should start a new special tradition we can keep as he grows into a young man. Maybe I'll steal your chocolate chip pancake idea!!

I home school my kids and on days they do not feel good they get to sleep in, on mondays they do not have to get up til 8:30. I take them to the library in out small town which is only open 3 days a week and let them stay as long and they want.
i try to make meals that they like, and suprise them with special treats once in awhile.

My baby is only 10 months old, but I try to do special things for her all the time. One thing we do everynight after her bath is Babysagge! Thats baby-massage actually. I spent about 5-10 minutes rubbing her little body with the baby lotion with the music on low. She loves to have her little feet and toes rubbed especially. We trim nails and toenails if needed, and sometimes file them, and then we fix her hair after we get her jammies on. Then we look in the mirror and I tell her want a good little girl she is and how much I love her. It is great mommy-baby bonding.

My daughter just turned 1 year old today. For the past month, in the morning while I drink coffee and eat my bagel with cream cheese, I share it with her....feeding bits of it to her by hand. It has become a morning ritual for us.
I am sure that cooking things, as well, will be my special way of giving to my kids....I already cook for my husband as a demonstration of my love for him.

Well I just had my first baby but with my neices I go over to my sisters house every Sunday and help my sister make breakfast, then we eat and when we are done we all do the dishes together and it usually turns into a splashing fight. Its lots of fun and we've been doing it for about 5 years.

I give gifts, however small, for holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, and I give them first thing in the morning, as well as some of their birthday gifts. You want them to know their day is special right off -- they go through the day with a smile on their face.

for the bowling you only need 3 controllers or you can just use 1 controller and switch between people when it is thier turn. The star wars games for the wii require a nunchuck and controller for each player.
