Question: Since about age 16 (I am now 23) I have had abdomen cramps, and gas. With it about 6 years ago I started to have Extreme constipation. (Very large, and painful). Then 2 years later I started to have rectal bleeding(on/off), and I think that’s when I first saw bumps on my anis (I have 3 very small like peas, Sometimes itchy, they look kinda dark). To this day I almost always have constipation, and blood in the toilet after release. (bright red blood, but sometimes clumpy) I have stomach cramps in my abdomen (but I think its from so much straining from the constipation) I don’t feel weak, but some times I feel dizzy (when I get up in the morning) started about a year ago when I took the night shift, so I don’t know if that’s related. I noticed that I now have scars on my upper thighs, and it looks like my buttcrack has scar in it (could be from all the sitting I do at work, and home? Im a big PC gamer) I also have a small bump on the top of my crack which I had for aprox 3 years. I also feel a weird…. almost like a small pressure in the middle where my right, and left rib cage meet God I feel like im falling apart! =( Im going to goto the doc, but I dont know how much money I will need to save up.

In the meantime, try changing your diet. Eat some raisins and prunes every day. Eat some apples. Drink prune juice and lots of water - every day. Spend ten bucks at Walgreen's and buy a bottle of FiberSure laxative. Mix up a heaped teaspoon in a glass of water and drink AM and PM. Quit eating fast food entirely and instead eat some fruits and vegetables. Get out and exercise instead of sitting around all day. If you try this regimen daily and are serious about doing so then your bowel problems will resolve and your bowel health will be 100% improved before you even have time to save the money for a Dr appt.

For constipation olive oil often helps. If a table spoon of olive oil doesn't help perhaps you could keep increasing the amount. For constipation, medication is only a very temporary solution if it works. Often you get side effects. Wheat germ and wheat bran are very high fiber foods that often help for constipation. Constipation can cause anal fissures, hemorrhoids and also some far more serious problems as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22r... . You probably need to improve your diet as you seem to have a constipation problem. For constipation, castor oil is very good for a one-off remedy as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22c... but it is unsuitable for regular use. For constipation, suppositories, laxatives, fiber supplements and enemas are all totally unnecessary if you eat the right foods and avoid the wrong foods. All fruit and vegetables in very large amounts are laxative. You need to permanently change your diet or you are likely to get colon cancer. Constipation can make you extremely unwell and can lead to colon cancer as it causes a build up of carcinogenic toxins in the system. The intake of foods such as milk, cheese, white rice, white flour and red meat should be restricted, because they tend to contribute to constipation. Any food that has had the fiber stripped out, the nutrients processed out or slows down the digestion is a constipation culprit. Here's a list of foods shown to cause constipation problems: •Meats, especially fatty meats, red meat and processed meats, •Dairy Products, such as cheese, ice cream and whole milk, •Fast Foods – burgers, French fries and other fried foods, pizza, etc., •Refined grains, like white rice or any refined white flour products, •Highly starchy foods – white potatoes, corn and all refined grains, •Pastries and other high sugar products, such as cakes, cookies and pies, •Deep-fried foods, chips and other foods that are high in bad fats. You can see lots more in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22n... which tells you "Natural Ways to Relieve Constipation" and the right foods to eat.

See a doctor if you have any sort of bleeding from down there. My advice, for what it's worth. It sounds like you've got hemorrhoids. You get them when you have constipation, from all the pushing. The blood is probably from them as well. You need more fibre in your diet, that will soften your poohs. For a quick fix. Prunes are the number one natural quick fix for constipation. Eat them straight from the packet, 5 or 6 of them at breakfast time and maybe a few more that night should get you working again. But don't overindulge in them, more is not better when you eat prunes. Nectarines, peaches and apricots work quickly too. But for day in day out health you need to eat 3 pieces of fruit and 5 serves of vegies every day. It's a lot I know. But celery and carrot sticks dipped in light sour cream is a yummy snack and uses up 2 of those serves. Every day you MUST drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This will also keep things soft and easy to pass. You'll be feeling better in no time I'm sure.

Well, your point is just wrong and I'm not a conservative. It would likely be covered if one had insurance. If you didn't have insurance charity care would likely be available. The problem comes when you have insurance and it doesn't cover every cost, which is typical. So, you wind up paying, say 20%. You'd likely still get the meds and all that but you'd start getting a lot of bills that you'd have to pay in addition to what your insurance paid or didn't pay. If you couldn't pay it, then you'd likely end up in bankruptcy. Your kid wouldn't be sentenced to death but there'd be the possibility you'd be ruined financially - despite having insurance - for 10 years. But it is fallacious to say someone is gonna die because of an insurance clerk in this case. Just not true.

Call a doctor's office or HMO to find out the price. You need to get to a doctor soon to get this problem straightened out before it turns into something huge that will be very expensive to treat. Whenever there is blood you need to see a doctor.

Definitely see a doctor. A Gastroenterologist because they deal with your stomach. It might be Irritable Bowel syndrome or something easy to fix with medication. The only way to find out for sure is to go and then you won't have to suffer. Good Luck and feel better.
