i need to lose some weight for my birthday in 28 days time, i am 5ft 8 and size 16, i need some way to lose weight, fast yet reasonably healthly and it needs to work what r ur ideas?
please dont say healthly eating and exercise i know that i mean any other way, certain foods etc?

First step eating the white stuff-bread, potatoes, sugar, flour. Choose good protein sources-chicken, fish, even red meat (94% ground beef, eye roast, tenderloin). Use good fats-olive or canola oil for cooking and salads. Eat several small meals daily to keep your blood sugar at a constant level-at least 3 hrs after eating your last meal. Can be someting like an apple and cheese or peanut butter and wheat crackers or an apple. Drink plenty of water. And get out and start walking at a nice steady pace. Keep a journal, it keeps you more aware of what you are eating. Keep eating like this and next year you won't have to worry about loosing weight for your birthday.

For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise.
Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help. Foods or drinks such as coke and other soft drinks, desserts, sweets, cakes, cookies or biscuits must be eliminated or substantially reduced. Cereals must be restricted to those that contain less than 15% total sugars and junk sugar loaded foods such as pizzas must be avoided. Junk sugar bowls must be abolished.

The natural sugars in fruit and vegetables are OK as they metabolise to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content so they have a low to medium GI value. Fruit and vegetables are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruit and vegetables are metabolism boosting foods and that helps for weight loss. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are exceptions and can be fattening.
Fattening combinations that you need to avoid include combinations of protein foods (such as eggs, meat, poultry, sea food, cheese and nuts) with starchy carbohydrates (such as bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and corn).

Eat healthier, and exercise. You can go to a local gym, or do exercises at home, like run, jog, push ups, sit ups, etc.
Breakfast/ Morning Snack:
Protien bar, cereal with 2% milk, oatmeal, or sometimes nothing
Half of a Peanut butter sandwich, a diet soda, a package of crackers, and a nutrition bar.
Snack: A piece of fruit, a protien/fiber bar, or some pretzels
Dinner: A main dish (either meat, pasta, soup, or a sandwich)
Two small portioned side dishes (could be anything from red beans and rice, to fried okra, french fries, corn, salad(rarely), mushrooms, or mashed potatoes with gravy)
A diet soda, sweet tea, juice, or coffee with 2% milk and Slenda.
Dessert: Most of the time nothing but sometimes I'll have a piece of milk chocolate, a cookie, a scoop of ice cream, or some fruit.

Weight loss is really quite simple; there are only two things you need do to reach your goals:
1. Restrict daily calories to 1600 calories per day. By increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat, you will be able to keep your intake at this level without feeling hungry or uncomfortable.
2. Exercise for one hour a day, every single day. It can be anything from pilates to just plain walking, but do it. One hour. Every day.
This is a pretty simple recipe for weight loss, but it works. It has worked for me; I have lost 62 pounds this way. It will work for you if you commit to it and stick to it.

The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. To lose weight, you need to get your body to use up these stores of fat. The most effective way to do this is to:
1:) reduce the amount of calories you eat
2:) increase your levels of activity.
