im on a diet and i was curious. is it truly that bad to eat like one cheeseurger a week? the otherday i went out swimming. riding bike, then i went to mcdonalds wit some frnds and got a cheeseburger and a coffee and i wanted to know will that slow me down in losing weight if thats almost all the calories i got that day. i ate an apple like 4 hours befor that.

Agreed - deprivation is a sure way to fail. If you starve your body it will basically get mad at you, rebel, and binge, despite your best intentions!
One cheeseburger a week is fine if your diet is healthy the rest of the time and you're staying active. It might be a motivating reward for you maybe, one day a week you get to eat fast food or something.
The most effective things you can do to lose weight and keep it off are to start the day with a good breakfast (cereal/fruit) and continue to eat a reasonable amount once every 3hours. 'Grazing' on food like that every few hours means your body is given enough fuel to keep going but you never over-indulge or stuff yourself.
Drink lots of water, stay active and dont skip meals. The more healthy food you eat the more your body will detox from the bad stuff, the better you will look, and the less you will actually want to eat those cheeseburgers! Fresh fruit and vegetables are the BEST for losing weight, they're great snacks at any time of day. Eat lots of fish and lean meat, salads, nuts, brown rice, etc. Dried fruits are great when you have a sugar craving.
Above all the best weight loss tip is to stop eating at around 7/8pm each evening. It seriously works miracles.

i read somewhere that if youre eating healthy, its good to eat something nt so good about once a week. it kicks your motabolism in the @$$ and makes it work harder.
so eat the burger!!!!

You have to eat more regularly than that. atleast 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. try eating 6 small meals a day.
Eating a cheeseburger once and a whil will not hurt, I would say not more than once a week. you can't deprive yourself or it will never work

go low gi diet, don't cut out carbs just go low gi carbs, carbs raise blood sugar, blood sugar activates insulin release, insulin stores fat, you do eat a bloody lot of food but this is the easy way to reduce that i know of. lose the rice and replace it with barley and oats you need to add nuts and where are the veges and fruit, eat as many veges and fruit as you can and lose some meat and where the hell do you buy tilapea? in australia it is a pest and even though it is killing our natural aquatic ecosystem, if we are caught with it in an esky we get fined for having an illegal fish even though they know it has to be killed, some laws are so stupid, anyway you need to stop thinking carbo-load protein building foods and totally pig out on every fruit and veg you can get, cut back some protein and go low gi, this will bring you back in balance.good health
