Question: I'm not overweight, but I'd like to lose some weight. How can I lose 20 pounds quickly and healthily? What are some tricks and tips? I've heard you should drink a glass of water before every meal, so you'll get fuller quicker. What are some other tips? And how soon can I lose the weight? 3-4 weeks? Thanks so much!

well! unfortunately you can't target specific parts of your body! arm fat is a huge problem for women, because their bodies are built to carry more fat than the typical man, I don't think you'll find many women without a little bit of arm fat BUT you could try the following: Table pushups. Instead of doing pushups on the floor which is sometimes difficult for some women, especially those who are not used to working out, an easier option would be doing pushups on the tables. Place your hands on the edge of the table and walk a few steps away. Slowly bend your body downwards, keeping your back straight and your feet together. Repeat this 10 times. Backward lifting. For this next one you need dumbbells, but just a light one. You don't want to bulk up, just trim your arms. Stand with your legs apart and hold the dumbbells on each hand. Lift both of your arms backwards and as high as you can and hold it in that position for a few seconds. Repeat 10 times. Sidewards lifting. For this one, it's pretty much the same as backwards lifting, only you're obviously going to raise your hands sidewards and hold it in that position for a few seconds. Repeat this 10 times. In order to lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks, you'd need to lose 5 pounds a week. That is a caloric deficit of 2500 calories a day. Considering you're a women and you're not overweight, it is not likely that your resting metabolic rate is even higher than 2200 calories. Which means to lose 20 pounds in four weeks you'd have to burn 300 calories a day by doing cardio, in addition to eating NOTHING for 4 weeks. You'd die by then. drink lots of cold water through out the day and eat only 1200 calories a day go for a 1 hour jog every morning eat low fat foods and make water your bestfriend. That weight will fall off. Good luck Michelle ;)

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
