Im a 14 year old girl and i have a bit of a belly! I can't go out for jogs or anything like that (mum wont let me) and i want to lose my stomach. Any suggestions on how to? and how long do you think it will take to start losing fat without exercising just extreme dieting? thanks x

Extreme dieting is not good! Eat healthily. Lots of fruits, vegetable, dense bread, wholegrains, protein etc. But you also need to do some exercise because
1. It makes losing weight MUCH easier. Exercising burns calories.
2. If you don't exercise your muscles will slowly deteriorate and you'll be weak
3. Muscles use up lots of energy just to maintain so it's good to have those while dieting.
Just do some sit-ups, weights, push ups, and walk to places instead of being driven or catching public transport. Also riding bikes is good. Running isn't the only way to get fit. Dancing and yoga can be fun as well.

You can't make your body lose weight in specific areas, you just have to lose weight in general. The best way is to cut out sugar and junk food. Make sure you don't eat empty carbs (white flour), and do a lot of cardio mixed with weight training. Since you want to do it at home, I would go running, or jump rope. Do situps and push ups and lunges as well.
Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.
Stubborn belly fat is very hard to lose, even for very thin people.
Apparently it helps if you avoid junk sugar as in sweets, desserts, cakes, cookies and biscuits. White rice and white bread also need to be avoided.

Eat lots of fruits and vegiies (boiled/with minimum oil) and 8-10 glasses of water/day. If u dont wanna jog then play some sports and immediately after that do abs workout. Search for crunches on youtube.

You're very pretty! How rude of those people to say otherwise, especially your family. First and foremost please know that you don't ever need to compare yourself to others, not even family members.
If you want to lose some weight then do abdominal and core exercises, anything as simple as situps and pushups (try 10 of each the first day, 20 the next, and work your way up to doing 50 of each per day). Also, to tone your body try cardio workouts, you can get these on DVD or take a class.
It's really simple if you think about it, the key is commitment. Motivate yourself to exercise every day and you will be healthy and happy!
