Question: I'm going down to Alabama in 17 days, and I'm hoping to lose at least 5 lb before then. Is it possible? Also, what kind of exercises can I do daily to help me lose weight before then? And what kind of food should I eat? Any help is appreciated! :]

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Also Pop is so bad for you I can not even tell you. It’s just 150 empty calories every drink, it literally does nothing good for your body. If you can replace every pop with a glass of water you can lose 5 pounds in just 2 months. ◾Eat organic foods for breakfast like apples, bananas, plain yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, wild smoked salmon, and so on. ◾Keeping a track on the watch, go for an hour walk. Oh yeah! I can lose 5 lbs in a day. Ok,go on a all liquid diet (water,prune juice orange juice) after breakfast!. It shrinks your stomach the next day in a snap,not to mention the 2 lbs you lose in your sleep,I am a amature Mixed Martial Artist so dropping weight ASAP is my specialty. Use the 2 lb while asleep thing to your advantage and just eat a decent breakfast that will give you energy (2 waffles with a cup of yogurt) then for lunch in between or whenever you feel hungry,drink something,NOT SODA or anything of that sort. 5 pound in two weeks is very possible unless you're already under weight. Cut your calories. Eat about 1200-1500 calories per day. Drink lots of water. Eat lots of veggies. Stay away fro fats, sugars and fruit juice (unless you have a small serving of fruit juice). Fruit is better than juice because it's more filling with fiber and less calories than juice. i addition to Leigh, i agree swimming is great, even if you just tread water for an hour. It is low impact on joints, you don't get sweaty feeling, and you use all of your muscles. Eat whole grains, and walk or run at least 2 miles a day. You might end up being in better shape, and lighter.

Drink LOTS of water. Increase your activity by 15-20mins a day to as high of an intensity as you can without hurting yourself. Drink only water for the next 17 days (and one cup of joe if you need it). Have low fat soups from a can for lunch. Keep all your protein to lean from fish and chicken. Cut out all sugary snacks. Limit your fat to 1 / day. No sauces on your meals. No fast food. If you go on an all liquid diet you will gain it right back I guarantee it. If you reduce the weight through exercise you will also be more toned and look fitter along with the 5lbs!!

No junk food. But whatever you do, DON'T stop eating food altogether. I tell this to A LOT of people who want to lost weight: go swimming! Swimming is the best way to lost weight. My cousin experienced this first hand and I couldn't believe the results of swimming so much!
