Topic: Peanut butter - in a diet, is PB considered a carb, protein or fat. ?

On the nutrition label, it says it has fat but also has 3 carbs per tbsp and 3 proteins per tbsp which kind of cancel each other out.
I don't believe natural peanut butter which is all I eat has any hydrogenated fats? I eat Smuckers natural peanut butter with oil on top.

peanut butter has all of them in it but its mostly fat about 17g fat, 6 g carbs, and 7-8 grams protein
Peanut butter is a great choice for your daily fats, at least 20% of your diet... PS choose natural PB, the regular stuff all contains soy protein, and partially hydrogenated oils, (which means it has trans fats and plant estrogens).

Peanut butter is great if your trying to gain weight or build body mass but rather for the scential oils and nutrients it contains than for the protein...Is a great stabilizer for diets just don´t eat more than 4 full spoon a day or It will slow down your digestive system wich will allow long chained carbs to be absorved easilyinto your body and will make chances of decomposing proteins bigger
It is considered a fat. No matter how healthy peanuts or peanut oil may be, they hydrogenated it, which is turning it into a solid. This is worse that bacon grease. Do not eat peanut butter...organic is fine but gross. Peanut butter and hydrogenated foods cause cancer.

All of the above. Just b/c you have more carbs or fats in something, doesn't mean the other is still not in it. If you are using a percentage system, where you eat X% Protein, X% Carbs, X% Fats you have to count each of those amounts, not "round off" and call it one over the other.

Peanut Butter has a lot of fat. I have it very seldom and I only buy the Natural kind ( it has the oil floating on top)
