My brother was told today that in order to compete in disctricts, he has to lose weight. He has to lose at least 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions/tips on how to do that? Thanks in advance! :)

Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?

It's not really cutting weight if you have a whole offseason it's more like dieting. First you need to get a proper diet and do lots of cardio. At 5' 6" and 150 lbs I can only assume you're ither a little overweight now or packing on a good amount of muscle. If you are overweight then cutting down that extra bulk will be much easier with the above mentioned process. Also weight training should be done with smaller weights at increased reps. This will help you gain strength and improve your gas tank without the added bulk of huge muscles.
