Don't get on a strict diet plan or you might just set yourself up for disappointment.
The best thing to do is eat less than you normally do, and do not give into temptation things like oreo cookies, donuts, chips, things that are in front of your face you just have to make a choice not to eat them. Once you start exercising it will be very very easy to not eat those things, because you will be working so hard in your classes, you will not want to disappoint yourself and let yourself down. You will start to find fruits and vegetables more attractive. If you can, try not to drink sodas..if you do drink sodas now even if it's only one a day, cutting them out makes a huge difference. Don't even drink the diet ones or the zeros...it will make you much less bloated looking if you don't drink them. You will have a bigger appetite as you will be exercising, but just don't fill your appetite with junk. If you have a sweet tooth, get your sweets from fruits or vegetables or drink some diet green tea (i like the lipton brand) or have a chocolate or vanilla slim fast (they taste really good chilled in the freezer). If you want something salty, eat some lean beef or turkey jerky or some turkey bacon. Always eat breakfast, never skimp out on breakfast. And don't starve yourself either to the point where you are always hungry all day long. It's okay to fill up at a meal and feel satisified as long as you are eating good food, like chicken breast and vegetables. Even cereal with skim milk, oatmeal is good too.
