following diet and health program was developed for the employees and the dependants of General Motors Inc.
The program was developed in conjunction with the grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. It was first tried at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation at a general meeting on August 15, 1995.
General Motors Corporation wholly endorsed this program and is making it available to all employees and families. This program will be available at all General Motors Food service facilities.
It is the managementâ€™s intention to facilitate a welfare and fitness program for everyone.
This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs. per week. It will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.
During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.
All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want. It is suggested you consume lost of watermelon and cantaloupe.
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type. Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for breakfast.
Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet and no potatoes today.
Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. You can also have I bowl of vegetables soup.
Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 cup of rice. You also have to eat six whole tomatoes and drink 12 glasses of water today to cleanse your system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.
Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat all the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your hears content.
Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and the vegetables you care to consume. Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kgs. lighter than 1 week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you rest for three days before every repetition.
You have your system under control now and it will thank you for all the purging and cleansing you just gave it. Even more than a diet program it is good to follow this diet once in a while to clean your digestive system and remove toxic substances that have a accumulated in the system.
The most important element of the program is the 10 tall glasses of water a day. You can also flavour the water will some lemon to make the drink easier. While on the program, take only black coffee and never more than one teaspoon of oil. Preferably do not use oil because the high calorific content. No fruit juices before day seven.
Here is what happens to you body while you are on this program and how and why it works.

get off the low carb diet.
it is not healthy for you. Atkins is a fraud.
Especially if you crave chocolate. You will eventually go off this diet.
Diets don't work because people look at them as short term and say "i'm going on this till I lose 10, 20, 30lbs, etc."
When they go off, they eat like crap and put the weight back on, and usually put on MORE weight because they used a nutritionally and physically unhealthy diet, like atkins or low-carb. which plays havoc with your body as it does not preserve muscle and encourages you to take in large amounts of fat- sugar is only one part of it. The reason you will gain back MORE weight when you go off it- (and eventually you will, your body craves sugar in fruits because it needs it and those things are healthy for you- while chocolate is not) because you will have lost muscle as your body will have not been getting what it needs to help preserve it and support muscle maintenance and growth.
Muscle increases your metabolism. less muscle = more fat (loosely).
I suggest instead to you to read some nutrition books and understand the effect of what you eat on you from a scientific standpoint, not a standpoint of someone giving you false diet information in order to sell thier diet plan.
Develop your own eating plan (I say eating plan because it needs to be a LIFELONG CHANGE, but you develop one you can live with) based on healthy choices, you can even work in a "cheat" day where you can eat your chocolate. Something your current "diet" doesn't have.
A healthier version of chocolate (although it still has high calories and high sugar) than regular chocolate is dark chocolate. Not just "hershey's" crap you see in the commercial- which is actually only 45% or so pure, try lindts 85% pure dark chocolate- it is more bitter than you are used to, but for a better choice than milk chocolate it is not a bad treat so long as you limit yourself.
OK, i lost 26lbs from Jan 5 to mar 15 and i ate what i wanted,i just counted calories trying to stay in the 1200 calorie range, eating 3 times a day and having snacks, i tried the no carb diet and it is not the best way to go, but if you insist,deli slice turkey rolled up w/ thin slice cheese, tuna rolled up in a lettuce leaf,deviled eggs, honey roasted peanuts, i also had a mix of dark chocolate chips,almonds,dried lo-carb fruits, beef or turkey jerky is always good, so when that fails try calorie counting; everything these days has the calories on it and even some restaurants provide this like Dairy Queen, don't count fat or cholesterol just calories, i am still losing by the way.

No, she can not devour fruits and veg. They're carbs. That you would be able to consume egg whites, and fish. And dairy with out introduced sugar. And thats it. Carbs are higher for shedding pounds. Let me think. 2oz dry pasta (one serving) has 200 calories. The meat sauce, cheese, alfredo sauce, cream OR bitter cream that you just placed on it on the whole has 500-700. What's worse? The carbs or the non-carbs? That is right. The non carbs. And what is the filling phase? The carbs.

A no carb diet will kill you. The brain needs lots of carbs. Diets do not work. Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

Best thing to eat is no carbs lol I would eat fresh fruits and vegtables as your snacks. If you want something else try a diet bar or yogurt.Also drinking an 8 oz glass of milk as a snack on a diet is great.

Well, I hate to be the one to tell you this because I used to do the same thing, but now I'm 18 I've hired a nutritionist and chef and whatnot and I know a lot more than when I was 14.In other words, I've come a long way when it comes to health. Do not cut out carbs completely dear(I'm not sayin you are but...just in case) 65% of our calories are supposed to come from carbs(based on 2,000 calorie diet). We need it for a lot of our energy. Our body does not like to turn proteins or fats into calories as much as carbs. Remember when you are keeping track of calories that 1 gram of carbohydrates is 4 calories. Yes cutting out white bread will help. Remember to get whole grain. The reason white bread isn't as healthy is because the fibers are cut out. Once you have fibers in your diet it helps distribute food as far as it can in the most beneficial parts of your body. It also helps move waste out of your body more efficiently which will help lose weight more efficiently. Pick whole grain pasta's also, they might be less flexible but its because of the whole grains that are in it. Hope you loose the weight dear. Sorry if I sound like a health freak or anything but my friend started on a no carb diet and it ended with her in the hospital 1 year later diagnosed with an eating disorder..you never know.
