Question: I am 17 yrs old and I've been going to the gym lifting weights and swimming , I'm 5'9 and weigh 178 , I gained weight instead of losing it so should I take weight loss pills and If I were to would it help , I'm insecure to take off my shirt in front of people and I'm over it

No, diet pills are bad for you in the long run! they can cause acidity, gas problems, high blood pressure, hair loss, and diarrhoea! thats not even mentioning how highly addictive they are and disruptive to your metabolism!!! Gynecomastia, or “man breasts”, is a common condition for the male population, with over 50% of all men being affected by it during some point in their lives. There are several causes for man breasts, the most common involving puberty. If you are between the ages of 13-18, it is normal for you to experience an increase in the chest area which may resemble woman’s breasts. When triggered by adolescence, this problem will correct itself within months in approximately 90% of all cases. However, there are some teens that will carry the burden of enlarged breasts well into adulthood. Other than puberty, there are many other causes of gynecomastia. These include steroid abuse, obesity, genetic disorders, side effects of prescription medications, and aging. Many doctors recommend surgery for gynecomastia, but getting the additional breast tissue removed medically isn’t the only way to cure man boobs. 1. Natural supplements such as gynexin or tribulus may be taken to help increase your levels of testosterone. This will inhibit the growth of breast tissue, returning your chest area to a normal state. These supplements should only be taken in moderation, and under the advice of your doctor. 2. Reduce estrogen. Avoid things that can encourage estrogen production in the body, such as marijuana and alcohol. The key is getting rid of man breasts is to have more testosterone present in the body than estrogen. Staying away from things that increase the female hormone will help you with your gynecomastia. 3. Lose Man Breasts Chest Work Out. Pectoral exercises can strengthen and firm the muscles in the chest. This will prevent them from sagging, and having the appearance of man breasts. Various incline presses can be performed to tighten and tone the chest muscles in order to rid the area of the extra tissue. Let us get into a chest work out that really whip you into shape! 2 key points are: 1. It is not a good idea to lift heavy weights more than 2 times a week because we have to let the muscles rest. 2. The weight amount has to be controlled as a power lifting workout will build a larger breasts for you than is necessary. The best strategy is to mix mass building exercises with isolation exercises and do this 2 times weekly. Do not hit only the middle of the chest, but hit the entire chest area during your exercises. You can't. O.K. = O.K. so I'm unpopular but you are 13 and your body is laying down a fat reserve to fuel it through puberty and it ain't gonna burn it now, not nohow. At start of puberty you get a shot of Oestrogen and that's what causes it. It also makes your face go oval. If you watch your diet = don't starve yourself that's counterproductive = and keep reasonably active you will burn the moobs off as you go through puberty but NOT in one month. Pills not advised. Going to gym mostly a waste of time. Swimming is better because butterfly and freestyle use those muscles underneath.. Once you get your growth spurt height it will look better. But in one month = no. Think you will make a better impression smiling at everyone in new neighborhood then they won't care if you look like 13 teenager. M

Weight loss pills don't target specific areas. Who knows, maybe they'll take some of your muscle away instead and leave you with the "man boobs". Pectoral exercises will almost certainly help. Sculpting pectoral tissue into muscles will help lessen the appearance of breasts and will make them more firm.

Plain yogurt is healthy. Crisps are not. Willpower is overrated. If your willpower is failing, you are asking too much of it. You need to structure your eating in a way that requires less willpower. You are not eating enough protein. Protein will help spare lean mass while losing fat, and also helps keep you full for longer. IMHO, you should cut out all carbohydrates for a week. You (like me!) like them _too_ much. I suspect you are on a cycle where you eat simple carbs, feel good, burn them up, crash energy wise, feel terrible and crave more. Not all people have this problem. If you do, try cutting out carbs entirely. Yes, I mean no bread. Eggs, chicken, other lean meats, non-starchy vegetables, low fat dairy. Do not wait to be hungry to eat if you do now. Eat good food at the right time. If you avoid eating, you'll get super hungry, and when you get super hungry your animal-brain takes over and you will make instinctive (bad) food decisions. EVERYONE does this. You need to plan what you want to eat, and eat it before you get starving. If you cut all carbs and replace them with proteins/vegetables, you'll feel crappy ... for 2 or 3 days. I'd try it for a week and see how you are at the end of it. If you have a carb issue, you should feel less up/down in your energy and hunger. Check out rapid fat loss by lyle macdonald. You could _very_ easily lose 10 lbs by mid november in a pretty healthy way, but not off crisps and bread.
