I am sure you have heard that there is no way to lose weight from a certain area, and that the first place you gain weight is often the last place you lose it because there is more fat there. Also, I am sure you have heard that the max weight per week you can lose is 2 pounds( and keep it off because if you lose more your body thinks you are starving and it actually turns more food into fat whenever you eat), so say you have a month and a half until you leave, that means you can lose 12 pounds(that is the max you can lose, but does not mean your body will let you lose that much). While that is good, I do not think it is 4 inches around your tummy. I would aim for a goal that you can actually meet to avoid dissapointment, like 6 months from now. It takes a while to lose that many inches off your waist.
