I keep getting constipated?
Topic: I keep getting constipated?
June 20, 2019 / By Scarlett Question:
I am 20 years old, and for the past couple of weeks I have been suffering from constipation. Every time I go to the toilet I have to strain quite a lot and the stool is extremely hard and very difficult to pass. I noticed that when I was eating white bread, which I used to eat quite a lot of, it made me badly constipated, so I stopped eating it and started trying to eat more healthily with wholemeal bread, fruit and lots of water during the day, but I am still getting constipated. Any advice?

I'd suggest you try using a stool softener (ducosate sodium) each day. It has no laxative properties or side effects. It simply softens hard stool to make it easy to pass. Also, continue with the healthy diet and drink plenty of water each day.
Hope this helps and good luck.

She is probably just constipated. This can happen if they have had a lot of fiber in their diet and not enough water among other reasons but these are most common. I have the same problem with my dog from time to time. Usually a little bit of milk gets things softened up and going. Hope this helps.
Dump the junk food, fast food garbage & sugary sweet soda's.
No smoking - no beer/ale - no booze - no drugs.
Eat plenty of boiled or steamed vegetables & lots of RAW fruit & veggies - and - yes - drink plenty of water to help keep the traffic moving.
Get more exercisie to help keep things percolating. A BRISK 30 minute walk before breakfast & a BRISK 30 minute walk in the evening after dinner.
You can also try taking COLACE at bedtime. It is NOT a laxative - but a STOOL SOFTENER - & you will have a BM the following morning.
When you have a BM - DO NOT push or strain to make it exit - or hemorrhoids could pop out on you & start bleeding.

Cheese and fatty and or fried foods can also make you constipated. Don't take a laxative but you can take a stool softener. It helps you to go.

Pl. take plenty of warm water in the night before retiring to bed, avoid all pizza items, biscuits & apples
are aggravators, while pine apple, orange, banana, sweet lime, green leaves are natural laxatives. if these do not work, pl. have a laxative like milk of magnesia, phenolphthalein tablets. with plenty of water. avoid stresses of all sorts !. Still in bad state, see the doctor.

could have whats called fecal impaction, make sure that your diet is high in fiber and water. Also make sure to eat low fat foods as that can make it harder to pass your bowl movements. Also when you do have a bowel movement , i know this may sound gross but look at it to make sure there is no blood, or foul odor or that it looks off color. If its any of the 3 it could be some type of condition. I would also be very careful when taking a laxative because they can be harmful to your intestinal system I would recommend getting gentle laxative, also try prune juice i know it might sound nasty but it helps to soften the stools. Also it could be medications that you are taking , if you are taking any
