Question: I am 15, and I really want to lose weight quickly! How do I do it? I have considered not eating at all...and I do run a lot in P.E. But its not working. I don't want to do anything that costs money or forces me to buy certain weird products.

A friend of mine has lost lots of weight recently. She’s looking amazing & maintaining it. She said (1) Exercise daily (even if just a short walk) (2) Eat lots of vegetables. (3) When you get that 'hungry' feeling even after you've had a big meal, it means you're dehydrated so drink lots of water to help the cravings past. (4) Eat a SMALL snack meal every 4 hours. (If you starve yourself over hours or days, your whole metabolism slows right down. Then it finds it hard to start up and digest your food at good speed when you suddenly eat again). So eat every 4 hours to keep you churning regularly through it. (5) Make no food a forbidden food. When you do that, you begin to crave the forbidden food. If your favourite thing is e.g Chocolate. Don't ban it. Tell yourself you can have to once a week or something. That will help take the cravings for it away, provided you're also drinking lots of water. (6) It's a well known fact that 'Dieting' can make people fat just their metabolism is forced to slow right down then is forced to start up suddenly and can't cope with what it's got to churn through so suddenly. (7) If you ever really find it hard to eat food at least eat banana for the potassium. (Another friend of who recovered from her anorexia told me that) And she's still tiny. She also use the above advice and is looking thin but lots healthier and says she had more energy. So the above advice seems to work for people who are very over wieght and those who are not but obsessed with it. (8) Sit ups and rowing machine also help

Don't lose weight. Seriously. You don't need to. If you got down to 91 pounds like you are planning to, people would start asking you if you were anorexic. Your BMI would be 14.3. That is severely underweight. A healthy BMI, is anywhere from 19.5 to 23.5, and anywhere about 24 is overweight. If you insist on losing weight though, just lose maybe five pounds. But honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't do it. You're fine where you're at.

WOE!!! hold it, you're not morally obese. that's about the right weight for your size. trust me I am about that height or more and it's fine.Besides you aren't fat. if you lose weight you wont look anything like the photo. you are the perfect height and weight

Well, the unhealthiest way to do it is to eat very fulfilling foods (ie cabbage, protein, fiber), take laxatives so you pooh alot, puke after every meal, and exercise until you pass out or puke everyday....... I think it's rediculous that kids your age worry about stuff like this. A better option is to love yourself for who you are and get use to your body image. I know it's probably hard to appreciate your body when it seems like everyone else is "prettier" than you, but that's what life is all about. If you're not happy with yourself, how can you be happy at all? Looks aren't as important as you think, I know you won't believe me, but it's soooo true. It angers me that everyone thinks they need to weigh 97 pounds with 1% body fat in order to be attractive. It is very untrue. It's all about personality. I'm considered fat for my height, but apparently the women don't care! I've learned to work with it and be happy with myself. Again, reconsider trying to lose weight just to "look good". People don't care as much as you think they do. If anything, you should be looking into how to build your self esteem.

okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows: Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly) eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink water . If you eat meat ,,eat only steamed fish or chicken. also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise. * you should lose about 10 lbs per month
