Question: I'm a sixteen year old girl going on seventeen, 5feet 3inches, and I weigh about 125 pounds. I wanna weigh 115 pounds. 110 if I can, but right now my goal is 115. I don't have any gym equipment and I don't wanna go to a gym (I just don't like going to gyms. They're so public.) so I decided I'm going to walk my weight off. I'm gonna take long walks with my dog, but for how many miles and for how many weeks should I? I wanna lose my weight as soon as possible, it is swimsuit season after all, but I don't wanna over do it or under do it. Also, how should I change my diet? Can you help me out? Please and thank you! ^_^ BTW My dog is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua. I'll be walking with her and I don't wanna over walk her, it's not like she needs to lose weight, so please keep her in consideration when you're giving me tips.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

i would set weekly goals for yourself maybe in the first week just work on 2 or 3 pounds and then maintain that. and as for walks i would try to not stop them , once you start you should keepat it. it might even be helpful to get a friend or two to go with you, so you can have some support. you dont always have to bring your dog along either. you can go by yourself if youre worried about over working her. as for a diet i would start out with looking at your calorie intake andcutting it just a bit and the walks will help you burn even more calories. also eat things that are high in fiber.dont over eat either, that is the hardest part, eat slowly so you can feel full faster and not be as likely to over eat. also do crunches when you wake up and before you go yo bed. and stretch, some stretches help tone body parts. drink lots and lots of cold water. your body burns a lot of calories trying to bring water up to body temp.

well owning three chihuahuas i can tell you they dont walk very far. They will run for very short periods of time but they tire very quickly.I wouldn't suggest taking the dog with you when you are trying to get a work out. Its counter productive because you'll like end up slowing down to meet her pace or if shes anything like all the chihuahuas I have ever known, youll end up carrying her. When I wanted to work out and have company Id bring the pet stroller (for jogging) and even with that I couldnt go as fast or as far as I wanted. To loose one pound you have to burn 3500 calories. That would be a lot of walking. thats close to 17,500 calories. It would be A LOT of walking if you wanted to loose the weight in a short period of time.http://walking.about.com/library/cal/ucc... can help you calculate the calories you would burn by walking at ___ mph and your weight. From there you can make a plan of how far and how fast youd have to walk to burn 17500 calories. Set a goal for yourself and try to obtain it with in a reasonable time period.
