Low carb diets dont work and you will gain all of the weight back ten fold! Low calorie diets are much better for you. Low carb diets are generally high fat diets and will give you a heart attack. Dr. Atkins died of a heart attack at over 200lbs... that should tell you enough. I really like the skinny ***** diet, but its not for everyone...but reading the book will still help you out a lot. Great question I can speak from personal experience about this diet (ketosis is the technical name). It's called the anabolic diet created by Dr. Mario Pasqui (spelling) anyways. It works for most people. x" that is completely false a low carb diet is one of the most effective ways eat 30 carbs a day MAX and you should be well on your way to losing weight. Your body naturally burns carbs as it's fuel for energy. If you take carbs away it moves to what's next in line....fat. This causes you to have a nice even fat loss throughout your body because your body uses the nutrients from the stored fat. There is so much to know about this diet I personally suggest reading the book about the multiple phases you will go through and understanding the diet first. You wouldn't write a 30page paper on the moon if you know nothing about it so don't do a diet that you know nothing about. Learn about it first. And vegetables are high carbs just an FYI. Red meat is lean and low in carbs.

I am on a low carb diet right now. I loosly follow the south beach diet. I do not recommend the Atkins diet because of the allowance of saturated fats. Oddly, I am actually eating more vegetables on the low carb diet than when I was eating carbs. If you do it by the book, the 1st two weeks should be mostly carb free. Breakfast is the toughest meal because there are not a lot of options. I will have a low carb breakfast bar or an egg beaters (low colesteral0 omelet. Lunch has many more options. Most common for me is a caesar salad with chicken or shrimp, a bowl of chili, lentil soup, hummus with peppers and celery. For dinner I eat salad, fish, shrimp, stew. I make gazpacho, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts, Keep in mind staying away from pasta, potatoes, breads, and fruit (the hardest for me) is only for 2 weeks. After two weeks, you begin eating fruit again and whole grain carbs in moderation. If you do it the right way, it could be a very very healthy diet. Oh, and one of the best parts of this diet is very rapid weight loss in the initial two weeks. Expect to lose between 10 and 15 lbs.

Dont do it. Only useful to fat slobbs that do nothing but sit on their asses. Here is how ur supposed 2 loose wieght. 1) eat about a third less at each meal than u ussually would 2)drink a half a gallon to a gallon of water a day 3) with thoughs 1/3 less portions you want to eat about 5-6 meals a day 4) exersize and eat right simple formula hard 2 keep up..... good luck

eat lot of veggies, salad with no dressing eat complex carbs like rice for example. stay away from high fat and saturated fat for bread go for whole wheat, just eat healthy in general stay away from fast food/junk food

you should start by justing eating meats chicken fish and cheese the two weeks into it start eating fruits and vegitables then you can gradually start eating carbs it worked for my sister good luck

I'm not a huge believer in diets. In my own personal opinion, as long as you eat healthy (i.e. follow Canada's food guide, watch the fat/sodium content in food, monitor calories consumed per day etc,) and exercise that should be good enough.

I would see a doctor for professional tips so that you can lose as much weight as possible IN A SAFE AND HEALTHY WAY! What I generally do to lose some weight: -Eat 5, smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 big meals. -Stop drinking any sugar drinks (pop, lemonade, etc.). -Drink lots of water (it helps suppress your appetite and increases your metabolism). -Exercise! I'm not saying you need to go get a personal trainer, BowFlex, or LifeTime fitness membership. When you get bored/hungry, go talk a walk/run. Walking is great because it gives you time to think, increases your metabolism, and you don't have to change your clothes/shower when you do it. Those are all easy ways to lose some weight. They don't cut into your life style to terribly but will definitely help you to lose weight. As for areas that have more fat than others, lifting is the only way to tighten up those areas. Bench press will help you to tighten your chest while crunches and sit ups will help you tighten your stomach. Check out this website.
