Question: I'm doing everything right but i'm only losing 2lbs a week. i'm looking for a good weight loss pill. I' have been going to the gym days a week and eating 1200 calories a day. Please help

Congratulations! 2 lbs a week is awesome! Since there are 52 weeks in a year if you kept up that pace you would reach 104 pounds lost. I do not know how much you would want to lose but 2 pounds a week is a very good pace. If you want to stoke your metabolism you could also try drinking some green tea, and taking about a cap full of apple cider vinegar or apple cider vinegar tablets. Both of these have been shown to improve weight loss. Make sure that you are drinking enough water and getting enough sleep as these two things are often overlooked but they can be the missing link to improved weight loss. With extended caloric deficits you will also have lower levels of leptin. Once or twice a week it would be good to have a slight increase in calories for a meal to increase the leptin levels to help make weight loss easier again. You can shift calories from meals earlier in the day to one bigger meal at night or whenever you would like it. Also, in terms of cardio if you would like to increase metabolism it is good to practice interval training. This is periods of increased intensity for about 45 seconds followed by 2 minutes of lighter activity. This will elevate your heart rate and keep it elevated. In terms of vitamins, supplements you can also look at things like the amino acid L-carnitine, tonalin CLA (conjugated lineolic acid) etc. You can check with your doctor to make sure that it is safe for you to take these supplements, but you should be fine. Do not worry so much about the short term, keep up the good work. Think about where you would like to be in a year. Take a picture now and then again in 6 months, 1 year etc. Pictures do not lie and because you are thinking long term you will be able to see a change guaranteed. Even if you stop losing weight for a few weeks just keep with it because you will achieve your goals! Good luck!

I always gain on birth control- its the pits! On the other hand, weight loss pills are probably not the way to go. The fastest way to lose the lbs would be to really cut your eating in half. Your going to get hungry and that sucks.The truth is, once you get used to eating less and moving more, the weight will fly off. I feel your pain, I was a size 2 at 5'9 before I got pregnant and gained like 30 lbs during the first trimester...and its still happening! I'll be right there with you, hungry as ever shortly after my babe is born. Good Luck!

1 - 3 lbs a week is the healthy amount to lose. diet pills don't work, they're filled with a whole bunch of crap that can make you feel terrible. you don't lose weight on them so all they really do is make you waste your money. you're doing things the healthy way! keep up with the great habits :-)

keep exercising. eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and proteins. don't take weight loss pills. you become dependent on them. they don't work. you're better off without them.

Increase your exercise, swimming is excellent for weight loss and toning. Decrease, even further, your calorie intake to 1,000 calories a day. Increase your consumption of water. We all 'plateau' from time to time. Persevere and it WILL come off, I promise.
