Question: Okay, so I am 27 yrs old, a momma of three which I had in 3 1/2 yrs so not really giving my body time to get "back to normal". I would consider myself more chunky then fat. I weigh 141 lbs, I am 5'1" and have naturally large breasts - 34DDD. In feb of this year I was 130 lbs and have just been gaining -yes I know it is because I have very little will power and don't exercise. I can do good on diets if I am not hungry all day. as soon as I get hungry I start looking for food, and since I am a stay at home mom it is easy to find food. I am wondering if there is a sort of diet or menu plan out there and any step (body cleanse, diet pills..etc. ) that seem to work together to keep you satisfied and works. - That's not too much to ask for is it. :) But if anyone knows of anything or has any ideas. please let me in on your secrets.

Heh. Basically, as I've said before, you need a caloric deficit. If you can manage to just cut out 500 calories from your current basal metabolism a day, you'll lose a pound of fat each week. In terms of keeping yourself satisfied, I'd suggest a two-pronged approach. One: Keep only healthy food nearby (that way, if you get the urge to eat, you can't overindulge too badly). Two: Eat foods high in fiber and protein. These two things tend to fill you up better, and give you a fuller feeling, than other alternatives. Oatmeal, protein bars, and fruits are all excellent sources of things kinds of things.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it. 1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism. 2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed). 3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water. It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me. Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. I've lost 40 pounds on weight watchers. But I don't do the meetings, I didn't want to publicize my progress(I think highly of group support, it just isn't for everyone). I used the information they offered to educate myself on which foods were sustaining my heavier weight and which ones would help me lose. It is a diet that gives you control over which foods you eat, they don't omit certain foods, they give you information on just about every food under the sun, that way you can make informed choices on what you're eating. Looking at it as an education instead of a diet also helped me to stick with it. If you do in fact have amazing will power I do believe this is for you. Because after you get used to it a little it gets easier, instead of harder like most diets.

Ok, the good new is you are not severley overweight...do NOT listen to BMI or supposed body fitness diet experts because they will say you are obese at 5'1 140 lbs. They do not take into account your build, genetics, muscle mass, fitness past, etc. I was 5'2 135 for many years and people, including my doctor and fitness coach said I was extremely healthy...perfect blood pressure, iron, blood sugar, no extra padding, very muscular. So now for the diet part. There's no such thing as a diet, only a lifestlye of eating and fitness behavior that you need to follow. Figure out why you are overweight...do you snack? do you exercise enough? do you eat often or not enough? Here are 3 options that may help you out. 1) You are probably very busy and do not have time to eat well or exercise often. Make sure you eat 6 small meals a day or 3 large meals and 2 snacks. (Eating more often actually speeds up your metabolism) Cut out sugar and white bread. Exercise for 30 min to an hour 4 days a week for starters and I guarantee you will lose some weight. 2) You may be eating healthily, but ingesting too many calories. If this is the case maybe try to make two meals a day the same, i.e. lunch and dinner can both be salads that you measure out and breakfast can be something healthy. Making two meals the same makes calorie counting easier and helps you control what goes in your mouth. It also makes eating more habit and monotonous than a free for all. 3) You may and I doubt this, but you may be emotionally eating. Sit down and think about why you eat. Why do you snack? Are you filling voids? Is it a point of relaxation in a hectic day full of children? If you think this may be a problem I would join weight watchers or hire a diet hypnotherapist to help. You are on the right sort of track, but you aren't eating enough calories (you need at least another 200 per day to make sure your body doesn't go into starvation mode) and low carb diets aren't sustainable in the long run. Your body needs carbs for energy, so make sure you don't eliminate them completely. Instead eat smaller portions of complex carbohydrates which release energy slowly and therefore keep you feeling full and more energetic for longer. Also make sure you eat lots of regular meals, and don't let yourself get too hungry or your metabolism will slow down and you will store more fat. Also drink lots of water. The exercise looks good, and will definitely help you burn calories and lose weight.
