Question: All right. I'm about 5' foot, 1" inch tall and I weigh around 144 lbs. I've lost some weight already, 16 lbs (though that was from hardly eating anything at all and I don't want to resort to that again...) Advice on how to lose like 20 lbs?

For weight loss, dieting is more effective than exercise. Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help. Foods such as desserts, sweets, cakes, cookies or biscuits must be eliminated or substantially reduced. Cereals must be restricted to those that contain less than 15% total sugars and junk sugar loaded foods such as pizzas must be avoided. Junk sugar bowls must be abolished. The natural sugars in fruit and vegetables are OK as they are metabolised to glucose slowly due to their high fiber content so they have a low to medium GI value. Fruit and vegetables are low in calories and are not fattening. Most fruit and vegetables are metabolism boosting foods and that helps for weight loss. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are exceptions and can be fattening.

It will not only help you lose weight, but requires indefinite body. Women should work with lighter weights, at least 2 or 3 times a week. How to get muscle mass, men are supposed to do with some extra weights. Combine work with weights and fitness training such as running or aerobics. Make sure you have the proper clothes. never eat any snack food out of the box carton or bag it came in you re less likely to overeat if you separate snacks into appropriate fist sized servings

combine your resistance training with short bursts of high intensity cardio to increase your post workout calorie burn

sleep more, easier said than done although numerous studies have shown the less sleep you have per night the more excess fat one will put on.

Okay, it's really great that you like to run, because that is one of the best forms of exercise you can do because it is cardio and: 1) burns off your stored fat 2) "reveals" your muscles by losing this fat. 3) as well as defines, tones, and strengthens muscles. So, I would suggest that you run as much/can a day. If that doesn't seem to work out too well, try going to the gym and getting on the elliptical. It is a little less strenuous on your knees and hips, but still really great! If you like jumping on your trampoline, you probably wouldn't mind jump roping which is also very beneficiail to your health and losing weight. As far as food goes, I would cut down on fat intake, increase your protein intake (especially if you are going to be doing cardio exercise and building you muscles; protein is vital to build muscles) and drink lots of water. TONS of water. And, when you have the urge to indulge in bad foods, or snack, just drink some water or low calories drinks to help fill your stomach and you will find that it does wonders. Also, try cutting your calorie intake by about 500 calories a day. If you do these things, you will (depending on your weight) lose 1-3-pounds a week. This is a healthy way to lose the weight, and sorry to say, but there is really no EASY way to lose weight fast. Lots of work involved. Good luck and I hope I helped.
