Question: I am dealing with a lot of anxiety right now. I have not hardly eaten in a week. My stomach is always upset and I am irritable and edgy. I am unable to sleep well. I relax then I awake with my stomach turning and heart racing. When I go to Church I calm down and I have been praying. I have been praying with others and it helps quite a bit. I know it is a big part that I am going to the dentist on Weds but I am wondering if a lot this anxiety is because that I am pre menopausing. I really need good advice. I do have fears taking pills as well. I get anxiety just by that. I am a mess and I feel so lost. Please be kind and not cruel. I am very serious I have stopped drinking coffee and all sweets 3 days ago. I had taken Xanax years ago and it gave me a big anxiety attack when I took it. I really would like to deal with my anxiety without meds if possible. Thank you for your comment. I was planning on going to the store an buying fresh veggies platter, banana's and healthy stuff since I am not eating much at all.

hey i have had the same problem so i know what your going through. i think it is really good that you are praying and keeping up your spiritual life, but no matter how much it hurts you have to eat. some natural remedies you may want to try are MILK THISTLE you can get it at health food stores, it is a dropped liquid you put in water- no flavor. it helped me a lot. now pills- i tried as hard as i could before i took them, but seriously if its that bad, don't wait. just be careful some you try may make yo worse which in that case your going to want to try something Else but don't be afraid. just keep in touch with your Doctor. as for regular food- try to stay away from greasy things, they will just make you stomach worse. acids could have the same effect. well i hope this advise is able to help you. keep trying- don't give up!

I have gone through something similar. I couldnt sleep, eat, or do any normal activity w/o my mind being preoocupied by my fear. I also felt calm in church but outside of church I was a wreck. You know when you are driving and some animal jumps out in front of you and your heart starts racing and your body gets tense? Thats how I felt almost constantly... I started taking Fluvoximine and it seemed to really help out! I became pregnant soon after taking Fluvoxomine so I had to stop. During my entire pregnancy and the 4 months following I have not had any problems w/ this anxiety that I had for years! I asked my doctor and he said the increase of hormones from the pregnancy has helped me. So if you have never gone through this anxiety before then it really could be because you are going through menopause. (and the docs have a medicine... to help balance... OR there is tea at herbal stores that help with this as well if you prefer a natural method) I would ask your doctor... this type of anxiety you sorta get "used to dealing with" or start to think "thats just how you are" (I got called OCD and a hypercondriach more times than I can count) and you forget what its like to enjoy life! I was always "against pills" thinking that I didnt need any easy way out... or if I would just work on my relationship w/ God things would get better etc... but it didnt because it was hormonal (I'M NOT saying that God cant deliver you from this... I am just saying that I believe that God has allowed doctors to help us from this!) GOOD luck!! I feel for you... because this is a life altering anxiety!! Feel free to contact me at any time!!

Aww I can relate, I have anxiety and before I got it under control I had no appetite, I actually lost 15 lbs, and I wasn't a big girl to begin w/. My anxiety gets worse about a week or two before my period and if you're dealing w/ premenopause that can definately increase your anxiety b/c of all the hormones going crazy. I strongly reccomend seeing your family dr, I didn't want to go either, but after I went I was glad I did, he actually gave me a low dose of Xanax and I only take it when I'm feeling really anxious and that really helps me. Good Luck to you. edit: As for foods to eat, avoid caffeine, and sugars, and try to eat a balanced/healthy diet, lots of whole grains, fruits, veggies, etc. I recently started eating a vegetarian diet and have noticed an improvement in my overall mood and energy level too.

Cats will have anxieity problems as do different animals. Has the vet advocated any precise vitamin for him and prompt no longer feeding him an excessive amount of, too in most cases. He's consuming his meals so rapid for the reason that of his previous medication and indubitably doing this as he is afraid he may not be fed once more for a at the same time. I feed my cats a prime best dried meals that I purchase from the vets and that is constantly to be had for them they usually simply graze while hungry. They even have lots of water to be had as good. This is a whole vitamin and there is no want for further meals akin to tinned meats and so forth. Do you realize if he is had his vaccinations in any respect as this must be performed on a consistent groundwork to preserve him healthful. Obviously from Jack's history, he is nonetheless feeling insecure and demands a loving atmosphere which he looks to have now. He'll want time and persistence and plenty of loving to slowly difference however finally I'm certain he's going to.

Hey krystal , I myself have anxiety and it sucks because you have all these negative thoughts. But you won't die . You see I read online that anxiety makes your brain think stuff that aren't really there . For example , when I get anxiety I feel like I can't breathe . And I feel like Ima get a heart attack and I start looking up heart attack symptoms. And sometimes what I feel is what the symptoms are . But then I remember I went to the doctor and they said I was healthy. Anyways well I feel like I need to gasp for air. Or I have to yawn to get full air . But in reality I am just perfect . I am breathing normal . But my brain tells me I'm not that's why I have to gasp for air. And yawn . Right now I have that issue . But I try to ignore it . And I'm only 17 years old . Also you feel like your heart is gonna stop . Because you feel it going fast . Like I said , I went to the doctors . And I felt that she checked my heart using a monitor . I was connected to it and it was normal. That's when she told me it was anxiety . And it goes away for a while . Then boom I'm back . It's really frustrating. But you are strong and you should be able to beat it naturally. The less you worry the faster you get over it . You should try doing some yoga . And do breathing exercises . Just like I do . Also you can exersice to get your mind off things. Or talk to someone you are really close to. When I have bad anxiety I drink valerian . Some roots from a plant . It helps a lot . It has A bad taste and It's smelly . Like stinky feet . But you can get the tea, which I prefer because it relaxes me so much . (I just drank a full cup btw) you can get it in any form you want . Also try getting lavender and just smell it. It'll relax you . But anxiety don't kill you . Just don't think about it. And also another way to feel better . Is sit in a quiet room . And just close your eyes . And think about your anxiety. What you feel , and where its affecting you the most. Think of your symptoms and how it makes you feel . Then concentrate on those symptoms . And that very spot where its mostly affecting you . (For example , your chest) And image you are inside your body . The calmly breathe in and out . And then calmly say "Anxiety you won't stop me, Ima allowe you to be there for as long as you want. Anxiety I accept you" . And it'll make you feel better after a while . If you do this every day for 5 minutes . It helped me . Hope it helps you . And try to relax . The first week.I couldn't even sleep .
