Question: I have gained 2 to 3 pounds in the past couple days but the weather has gotten a lot more humid in the past couple of days also. The only changes I have made is that I have been exercising 30 minutes a day rather than 15 minutes a day and some days my calorie intake may have even been lower than normal. Therefore, I would not understand why I would gain weight?? Help please!

Fluid fluctuation is more than likely the reason for your rapid weight gain, don't worry it will go. It's normal to gain a few pounds around period time.

No, they don't need a great deal, 50-60%, for instance, normal room humidity in the UK is fine. Provide a decent sized water bowl at the cool end as you said and you should be fine. You could provide an extra hide filled with some damp Sphagnum moss if you wish, so that your Ball/Royal Python has the option of extra humidity if they so wish.

Yes, they do make automatic misting systems. I've included a link to one source, below. But, an easier answer is to localize the problem. Instead of trying to keep the humidity up in the whole cage, try using a moist hide box. A plastic sweater box with a hole cut in the lid, half-filled with damp cypress bedding, will provide your Ball python with all the humidity he needs, without going nuts with sprayers. The plastic keeps the mulch from drying out too quickly, and the lid makes it easy to open for spraying or to remove the snake. That phrase "my snake is all wrinkled up" worries me, though. That sounds like a snake that's severely dehydrated, not just having trouble shedding. Have you SEEN him drinking? I'm betting you haven't, and that he hasn't been drinking when you weren't looking, either. They can go a long time without drinking, if they're eating, but not forever. I've had some Ball pythons that had trouble figuring out water bowls. When I'd get a rescue case that looked dehydrated, putting them in a sink with an inch of warm water often triggered them to drink a ridiculous amount of water. I'd suggest you try it with your snake. It will help him shed, too. Then try a different water bowl. Bigger is better.

I hate this answer but it appears to be true...Muscle weighs more than fat. If you're exercising more then you just upped your chances of building muscle by 15 minutes. There is a lot of things that can cause the number to be higher--are you weighing yourself on the same scale at the same time of day every time? With no clothes and after you use the restroom 1ST THING IN THE MORNING? That's going to be the most accurate weight to go by. If you are a female, different times in your cycle will cause fluctuating weight, too. The only way I could see humidity being the culprit is if you have REALLY long hair and it kept all the moisture in. What you can also do is to get a tape measure and take measurements first thing in the morning and keep a chart so you can see progress or where the targeted areas are. Make sure your diet stays consistent and try drinking green tea...

Your weight fluctuations may be related to fluid/water loss. Trust me, it's not fat. If you do want to gain weight, you should try incorporating more calorie and nutrient dense foods into your diet. You could try nutritional supplements like milkshakes, ensure, glucerna...etc.

Gaining weight requires a surplus of calories as well as a good weight lifting program. Try hitting these macros below. Eat 1 gram per body weight in protein Eat 4 times your body weight in carbs Eat 1/2 your body weight in fat grams If you're still not gaining weight, up the macros. You have to make eating a priority especially since you're probably a hard gainer aka ectomorph. You also should lift weights b/c you just don't want to gain belly fat. Compound lifts from free weights is a good starting point. Compound lifts include bench press, dips, pulls ups, push ups, dead lifts, squats, lunges etc. Lean muscle will go a long way.
