Question: Hi , I really need to loose weight quickly asap. My wedding is on first week of April and i need to loose 40kg in three months. Now i am so depressed. I'm working full time. Can someone help me pls? what is the most effective and quickest way. I'm on diet and do some training but only a few pounds lost. :((

If you want to lose weight quickly and effectively, you have to eat less. I know you probably don't want people preaching to you because it will add pressure to your diet, but I'll share my story to inspire you. I used to weigh 240 pounds around 2005-2006. I lost almost 100 pounds by late 2008 when I got down to 150 pounds on DIET ALONE. This takes serious discipline. The first thing that I did was cut out ALL sodas, candy, cheese, chips, cookies, fast food, processed foods, white bread, white pasta, and ice cream. I substituted white bread for wheat bread/wheat tortillas/pita bread, cereal instead of chips, and water instead of any beverage. I had turkey sandwiches on wheat bread without cheese, and added a bit of mustard. I also had salad from time to time, but not that much. It is all personal preference. You can make a great salad by adding any veggies to it. One aspect of dieting you have to take serious note of is that your body plays tricks on you sometimes. When your body is thirsty, it could make you feel hungry. In order to not binge when I was supposedly thirsty, I drank some water or calorie-free Crystal Light and took it from there. This is no joke. I didn't exercise one bit. The problem with this is that your body feels deprived in the long-term; therefore, it cannot keep up with this type of strict diet for that long. Eventually, I gained about 40 pounds back. Weighing 190 pounds was discouraging that after all that dieting. This was depressing, so I knew I had to make some lifestyle changes. Well, I recently went on a diet and have lost over seven pounds in one week. I weigh around 183 pounds and am gradually working my weight down. What I did was simply pick favorite cereals of mine such as Frosted Mini-Wheats, Corn Flakes, and Chex Cereal. When I feel hungry, I eat a bowl or less of whichever cereal I pick. I also consume only beverages with zero calories, such as water or any of the calorie-free Crystal Light drink mixes. Also, dried fruit and whole grain pretzels are great snacks to have, but in moderation. Try to incorporate tuna fish and grilled chicken into your diet too. This will ensure that your body has adequate protein. Also, don't be afraid to get snacks such as pita chips and real veggie crisps. It is all about PORTION control. For example, if you eat two tuna fish sandwiches instead of one, then that is not exactly limiting your portions. Try to space out your meals. Now, I know you don't want to hear this, but you MUST incorporate some form of physical activity. I have never been a fan of running, so I started going for brisk walks at night for at least 30 minutes. Try to walk at least three times a week. When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
