Question: now i hate the "low carb high protein" diet! i dont believe it is healthy and that u need carbs and too much protein is bad...but my parents and doctor want me to do that...find low carb high protein foods...so i have cottage cheese, light n' fit yogurt, pure bars, cheesestickes,soy nuts, chicken and turkey...WHAT ELSE AND A RANDOM QUESTION...are baked fries healthy? appearently im not allowed to eat them anyways i also need them to be inexpensive low carb high protein foods cuz we dont have much money oh and are tere any foods HIGH IN FIBER BUT STILL LOW IN CARBS...i dont think there is but i also need more fiber!

What you need are more vegetables. We eat a low glycemic index diet in our house, which is similar. 50% of what we buy is vegetables. Broccoli, Zuccini, spinach, cabbage, chinese cabbage, avacados (kinda expensive), tomatoes, green peppers, green beans. You'll get tons of fiber and very few carbs. Oh yeah, and like with any diet change, it's good to change as much as you're comfortable with, instead of trying to do it all at once and give up.

I have been on a low carb diet for about 4 months and I've lost a little more than 40 lbs I love this diet

Cheese, nuts, jerky, eggs, meat and meat. A low carb diet also includes a balance of natural higher fiber lower carbs you find in vegetables, to balance everything out. Fruit has to much sugar(carbs) but vegetables, the darker in color the better, are a great part of a high protein low carb diet that help you get the needed fiber. Make sure you are also taking a potassium suppliment as your muscles can start to cramp.

You can add red meats to your list but it needs to be either leaner meat or cooked in a way that is not as greasy as others. try grilling a hamburger no mayo but you can have ketchup no mustard either mustard is higher in fat than mayonaise and fat adds carbs. stay away from pork and ham products. If you need ribs the need to be beef not pork.Deli meats for sandwiches are usually always 99% fat free. Sea food is great with the exception of lobster and shrimp. If you need low carbs stay away from potatoes!! That is the one thing that can ruin a low carb deit. Brocoli is great and if you try the new Steamed Brocoli in the freezer section i think youll find it pretty great.Brocoli is very high fiber one helping a day is perfect. Whole Grain Bread is high in fiber and you just try them til you find one you like the best I like Pepperidge Farm but it is a little pricey, Natures best has a better price and is very good too. Stay away from white bread it is bad!!

I am a true bona fide low carb lifer. I have learned to live the life of eating foods that ere low in carbohydrates, yet kicksass in nutrition and flavor. I feel very fortunate to have learned this because some of the foods that were labeled as unhealthy have proved to be just the ticket for me. Here is a sample of my shopping list: Meats: choose selections of poultry,pork,game,seafood and fish, beef including organ meats. You can have an ocasional processed item like pepperoni,ham,bacon. Eggs, low carb yogurt and cheese can also be eaten regularly. Black soy beans and shiratake noodles were a nice discovery on low carb. vegetables: choose any of the planet's low carb veggies such as cabbage,broccoli,cauliflower,mustard greens,kale,collard greens, spinach, turnip greens,beets, turnip roots,jicama, red bell peppers, orange bell peppers, yellow and green bell peppers,asparagus,zuchini,spaghetti squash ( good substitute for spaghetti ) egg plant, any kind of lettuce ( avoid ice berg since it has very little nutrients ), tomatoes, onions AVOCADOES!!! pumpkin,radishes and cucumbers. low carb fruit: blackberries,raspberries, blue berries,strawberries,cantalope,cranberri... grapefruit, pears, nectarines/peaches. I love peach halves grilled outdoors. Fats: cream, half and half,butter,coconut oil, olive oil, peanut oil. No margarine or any other transfats. I know I left something out, so I want you to know that any low carb vegetable belongs in the low carb diet. Just to let you know, for thanksgiving I am having homemade cranberry sauce, mustard greens,mashed cauliflower and low carb gravy, sausage dressing, salad with full fat salad dressings and low carb pumpkin pie. Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last couple years, I'm sure you've heard of the Paleo Diet. Read here https://tr.im/XlXVC I hate to even call it a diet, because it's really just the real way that humans have eaten for almost 1.9 Million years, as opposed to the modern-day processed food diet full of grains, sugars, and processed vegetable oils.
