I know it varies from person to person and how intense you want it but generally speaking, how many carbs do most people have daily on a low carb diet and what is the absolute limit of carbs you should consume?

The first bit of Atkins is around 20g then it increases, to what I don't know.
Low carb diets would be under 100g If I try to reduce my carbs I'd go below or around 50g but most of the time I'm at 50g-80g by just avoiding bead, grains and starchy carbs.

It's much better than atkins as it deals with more than just diet and isn't just a temporary diet.
Also if you want to lose weight you still need to take in fewer calories but it's alot harder to do when you don't eat carbs

Well so far you haven't many carbs. 1g of sugar is virtually no carbs so you're fine. But yes try to stay away from high sugar products. The lettuce wrap sounds good. That salad dressing sounds bad though. Try to get vinaigrette based dressing, they usually contain no carbs and low calories. Paprika is fine. Any spice is fine.
Banish salt from your foods wherever you can. Not merely does it raise your blood pressure and normally dry out your blood, but sodium causes you to retain water contributing to overall ill health insurance and weight gain.

For me personally, I normally eat around 40-60 grams of carbs a day. That is my maximum. For every person however, the absolute limit of carbs varies, as described in the Atkins book. It's based on how much control you have when eating and whether eating much carbs at all will make you crave it. Some people can eat up to 100 grams a day and not have a high craving for it, while others may only be able to eat 20 grams a day. You have to experiment a little to find the right number for yourself.

20-50 is very low. That would be more geared to Atkins type diet which is good but too low for weight maintenance. I would say around 100g a day you can still call yourself low carb. You want more of your carbs comming from veggies and not things like potatoes, candy, over eating breads etc. I never worry about rice or oats, those are good carbs and will give you sustained energy.

Dads been on the atkins for years now. I don't recommend it, he says with no natural sugar from fruit,veggies etc...he feels dizzy/tired all day. You need carbs in your body, carbs are what your body runs off of, it uses it as fuel. I say take in atleast 50-100 carbs a day. I went on a 1200-1500 cal diet with 2 apples a day + the other meals i ate throughout the day i lost 110 lbs in 7 months.
