Question: Hello! I am 20 years old will be 21 in less then a month. I weigh 333 lbs and I have been trying to find helpful ways to lose weight but it seems that I am not able to find ways that help. I don't really eat a lot and I move around quite a bit. I love to walk but with my health lately the way it has been I have not been able to do much walking. I just had my 2 year anniversary and would love to start trying for a family but I want to lose the weight before we do. So if you have any helpful tips on how to lose weight please do share. I am up for helpful eating habits, helpful exercises and anything else you may have to offer that may help me. Also if you have any helpful tips on how to stop smoking please do share with me and Thanks so much!

Maybe that's where you are going wrong. I mean not eating a lot... Or well, i don't really know what you mean by that, but anyways here are a few tips; WHEN to eat for losing weight... • Eat (at least) three times a day. Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course) • Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas. • Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try. OK, one apple after 18:00 • Don't starve Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health. Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet. • Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast--eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer. WHAT to drink for losing weight... • Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day ! Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water! This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks! Don't believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys. • Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed! Don't drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions. • Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home. Exercise for losing weight... • If you want quicker results - exercise would be good. • Don't just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts... I guarantee THIS won't work for your weight loss... • Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don't be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants! • Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don't regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated. • Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don't shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too? • Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat. Good luck!

You seem to be eating pretty healthy, so congratulate yourself on that. Eating healthy is hard to do (for me, at least!) Try keeping yourself busy to avoid snacking. If you usually snack while watching t.v, or using the computer, find something else that will keep you busy. Ask your parents to buy you a fun workout dvd (maybe for your birthday ect.). Something that you'll enjoy doing, like a dance workout. Talk to your parents about maybe enrolling you in a dance class, or boxing. It will help you lose weight and probably even help you build more confidence! Good luck!

well I am 17 years old and I once weighed 210 lbs. I weighed that when i was 15. I decided one day that Ididn'tt want to be thatoverweightt so I started to diet and exercise. My diet was mainly of fruit, yogurt, low fat snacks and because I wasnt getting anyproteinn but I was exercising I started to eat a lot of mixed nuts or i would have a peanut butter sandwhich with low fat bread. I ate probably half the calories or more then I had been eating. Then for excercise I would do 50 sit ups, 10 push ups, 20 lunges per each leg, and 15 squates. I also started to take my uncles dog for a walk every night. In the first 3 months I lost 30 lbs and 6 inches of my hips and 3 inches of each thigh. I got one of those flexible rulers people use when they measure fabric so I could measure my waist, hips, and thighs.

Hi Dear! I am 20 too! but i got a way's to go before i am 21. I hope u enjoy ur birthday! I too want to loose weight so these are the things i do and have seen some small results. (i say small because i was slacking , but plz dont be like me lol!) Try drinking atleast 8 glasses of water. Why? because water is a source of fiber because it washes ur body out of impurities. Also, incorperate arobic excercises. Try brisk walking, jogging, tredmill, bycile. even swimming, jumping rope, high intensity dancing! ( my favorite!) Also, my boyfriend( who is a med student) told me that weight lifting helps because it helps u gain muscles and muscles burn fat. In order to tighten skin and develop muscles, crunches for your stomach, leg lifts, curls, squats..etc..will help as well. Also, ur diet should be high in fiber, like veggies and protien like fish and chicken and a little red meat. fruits are good source of vitamins and fiber as well. I also encourage you to stay away from fats completely until you are at your desired goal. I say this because you do not need fats to survive and u need to focus on loosing weight and loosing fat. When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).
