My son is about to be a year old and I'm trying to wean him towards cow milk, but he's been getting constipated so much. He's currently on Similac Go & Grow which is more milk-based. Also it's extremely hard for him to go #2. What's going on and how can i help him regulate his bowel movements?

My son had the same problem around that age. My pediatrician told me to mix prune juice and water and give it to him a few times a day. Mix about 2 oz of water with 1 oz of prune juice. Also fruits help with constipation. Apples are great! Try apple sauce or cut up pieces of a apple and feed it to your baby. Apple juice has too much sugar (even the "all natural" ones) so he might be too young for that right now. Try that and see if it helps. Also give a call to your pediatrician's office and see what they recommend. I always like to try the natural solutions before looking at medications though...they're so young to be putting them on all this medication crap...but that's just my opinion. Good luck!!

I know this may sound a little crazy but if your dog is constipated she can eat a little canned pumpkin. it is kinda like a natural laxative. I do not recommend suppositories at all. How ever you can use a stool softener.they usually come in the form of a gel cap. The active ingredient you are looking for is Ducosate Sodium. We use this all the time at the Vet clinic I work at.
Don’t focus on your faults, spotlight your best bits. Little waist? Belt it in. Stunning bust? Lower the neckline. Well toned butt? Rock tight jeans. Captivating legs? Show ‘em off. It’s really that simple.

My son had the same issue. We switched to soy and he evened out just fine. You can always switch to soy or ask your pediatrician if there are any other alternatives.

When he's straining - put a baby glycerine suppository in him, guaranteed it'll make him do a dooey in 5-20 minutes!

You will chat with your pediatrician but I personally would suggest to give your baby prunes to help him go #2.

Set up reminders on your personal computer or phone every hour to encourage you to ultimately get up, walk around, along with stretch.

Sip calorie-free h2o, seltzer, or green tea along with your meal instead of soda, sweetened hot tea, or juice.

Some things such as narcotics, antidepressants and other medications can cause nearly constant constipation. Some women have constipation every month associated with their period. For some people, "normal" may be going once every 2 or 3 days. Once a day isn't normal for everyone.
