Yeah it sounds like it. Try to give her some prunes and apple from gerber that is what works for my daughter. Also when changing her diaper gently push her leg back to her tummy and hold her legs straight up to help her go and get all the pebbles out. This always helps my daughter when she is constipated.

You probably need to improve your diet as you seem to have a constipation problem. For constipation, castor oil is very good for a one-off remedy as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22c... but it is unsuitable for regular use. For constipation, suppositories, laxatives and enemas are all totally unnecessary if you eat the right foods. All fruit and vegetables in very large amounts are laxative. You need to permanently change your diet or you are likely to get colon cancer. Constipation can make you extremely unwell and can lead to colon cancer as it causes a build up of carcinogenic toxins in the system. The intake of foods such as milk, cheese, white rice, white flour and red meat should be restricted, because they tend to contribute to constipation. Any food that has had the fiber stripped out, the nutrients processed out or slows down the digestion is a constipation culprit. Here's a list of foods shown to cause constipation problems: •Meats, especially fatty meats, red meat and processed meats, •Dairy Products, such as cheese, ice cream and whole milk, •Fast Foods – burgers, French fries and other fried foods, pizza, etc., •Refined grains, like white rice or any refined white flour products, •Highly starchy foods – white potatoes, corn and all refined grains, •Pastries and other high sugar products, such as cakes, cookies and pies, •Deep-fried foods, chips and other foods that are high in bad fats. You can see lots more in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22n... which tells you "Natural Ways to Relieve Constipation" and the right foods to eat.

Does she struggle? My 7 month old has struggled with this since he was a newborn. He will struggle to have a bm for several minutes and then I change him, only to find a few pebbles in his diaper. At first switching formula helped, but now that he's on solids, the only thing that helps is if I give him around 2 ounces of plum or prune juice every day (the plum juice just tastes better). I've tried other kinds of juices but it just doesn't have the same effect. Good luck...I hope your lil girl gets to feeling better. I know how hard it is to watch your child struggle with this :(

Is she on formula with iron? Formula tends to constipate them and then with the added iron, it's worse. At nine months you can start to give her juices (maybe diluted if she gets diaper rash) to help her. Also feed her more veggies liked baked sweet potatoe, beans, and Hummus (if she will eat it). And get some whole wheat cherios or any version like them with 4 or more grams of fiber. That helped my younger daughter. And yogurt. For some reason that always gets things moving with my youngest. Aldi has a kids yogurt that comes in two flavors (watermelon and kiwi or strawbery and blueberry I think) Moo something or another. You get 6 cups for $2. The kids love it and it works wonders for my stopped up little one.

I have two sons that have gone through the same thing. My mom would tell me to mix her formula with clear Karo syrup, but this would only be a temporary solution. The next step would be to change her formula. I know you may be surprised by that if she's been on the same milk since birth, but it sometimes happens like that. Her doctor would be able to tell you what's best though...Good Luck!!!

sounds like it. a remedy that always works for my children is take a teaspoon full of DARK Karo syrup and mix it into the babies formula or breast milk. That should get things moving smoothly pretty quickly. Good Luck and Bless u and your little Bundle of Joy!

Not trying to freak you out but it's a possibility that you might have hemorrhoids (if you don't usually drink water--like when you where a kid or something). hemorrhoids are wads of veins that sit and the end of your rectum. so theyre pretty painful. you may wanna grab a mirror and check down there. they can be very painful because they block the flow of...poo...and cause constipation if thats not the case you probably have a regular (sorta) case of constipation. try laxatives and avoid things like cheese and ice cream. well, wait, you already did that. um...try going in for a colonoscopy for your doctors to view your colon. you can also try a colonic. a colonic is where water is released into your colon and sent into your intenstine with a tube that is inserted in your anus and the water would cause the muscles of the colon to contract and feces will feel the pressure and sort of flow out into a closed waste system. basically, you're getting cleaned out. you'll feel a bit of discomfort in the abdomen but you'll get cleaned out :] good luck!
